Has this ever happened before?

In previous years acts might have a week off with the rebound vote then go straight back in.

Don't forget that viewing figures are down, so we can assume that the votes are down and it is very tight at the bottom of the vote between the acts.

The voting change means people can be raised or dropped depending on how late they perform and how many people are still watching.

Last 3 is particularly fatal, which did Jade in tonight and was when all of Gary's ones ended up in there.

The producers have a lot more control now, and it's far more subtle than the old death/slot pimp slot where people just forgot about the first performance. Now people can just vote and switch off, no reason to wait to the end for the lines to open.
