Since Louis is making aweful song choices for District 3 (as Tulisa was for Jade)... maybe they will take suggestions...
Next week they should do,

Domino- Jesse J

One of the group on X Factor Au did Domino and their version of the song had a similar sound to District 3 (and it sounded great). Also, I think District 3 has a cover or two or Jessie J on Youtube.

X Factor Au - group version of Domino

My main suggestion would be no more medleys/mash-ups, and doing vocal group songs.

The chorus on the version of "Domino" posted is the kind of anonymous, bland vocal mix they need to avoid.

They need to do a mid-tempo. Not dancey and not a ballad.

Did Lazy song reach No.1 in the UK? I love District 3's cover of that song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5nLB...feature=relmfu

They just HAVE to sing Jason Mraz' I Won't Give Up. Their cover of this on YouTube is honestly my favourite cover ever.

Sorry Chris has already got this one, "song for Nana".

Perhaps they should do American Boy by Estelle...

Lazy Song did reach #1! Bruno Mars had 3 consectutive #1s with Just The Way You Are, Grenade and The Lazy SOng

I remember last time though they were allowed to sing a song as long as it had been #1 in one country. So really you could sing something that got to #97 in the UK but #1 in Sweden or something

GREAT. So they should sing Lazy song - they sing it so well in their cover and would highlight their vocals!!

This would be good- so long as it is acoustical... it seems some of the X Factor performances they have done, get drowned out by backing music- causing them to not come across as strong.

Song for mama - District 3 youtube

Same with "I won't give up" - it would be great if they would do an striped back version:
I won't give up - District 3 (sometime in the past month)

Bottom line though- they have far too much talent, for Louis to choose songs and production like he has in the past. (or whoever works with them). If they were mentored correctly they easily have the talent to be in the top 4 at least. But it almost seems that Louis would rather them leave to increase Union J's chances- which suck for D3 if thats true- who knows.

Just The Way You Are

They need a song that can really show off their vocals like what Little Mix did with DLG. Payphone/Call Me Maybe acoustic could be good choices.

If the theme is Number 1's... District 3 have youtube videos of all of the songs below that were #1. Surely one of them is better than anything Louis will come up with. Of their youtube songs, however-

I have a feeling this is the one Louis will choose

Adele- Someone Like You
Michael Jackson- Human Nature
Boyz II Men- I'll Make Love to you
Chris Brown - Yeah 3x
Boyz II Men- Song for Mama (Number 1 R& B Charts)
Jesse J- Price Tag
Bruno Mars- Lazy Song
Jason Derulo - In My Head
Bruno Mars- Just the way you are
Carly Rae Jepsen- Call Me Maybe
Maroon 5 - Payphone

Payphone. Payphone is not a easy song to sing and they nailed it. It'll give them a boost.

Oh yeaaa Payphone would be great cos Micky has a solo that he wrote himself in the cover they did on youtube which i think would go down well with the judges - @ 2.45mins - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv8g-rC5_to

I also thought they may be bland based on their little exposure on xfactor- however, after seeing a few of their youtube videos, they have huge marketing potential as they seem to have a good combo of personality and not taking themselves too seriously. They seem to have the kind of depth that plays well with media and fans when groups are trying to get a career started (One Direction also had these qualities in a very similar way). Problem is the show has done them no favors.

Also, Even though I was impressed before live show with them vocally from the pre- live show rounds, I thought there pocket area would be limited to the more US pop country market. However their youtube videos show how talented they really are and how versitle they are. The show or their mentor have done them no favors thus far. Overall, if I were a management team looking for the contestants with the most potential going foward- they would definitely be in the top 3 this year. Along with Ella & James. Although I think they may have more potential from an international target audience point of view than James. I see Ella being an international hit as well. The only other 3 I really remember thinking the same thing about were 1D, Cher, and Rebecca. But they had much better mentors or producer support or something. The question will be is D3 able to turn it around themselves or will the show get on the ball and start doing a better job guiding them?
