Then around two weeks later votes her off against a boyband who even by his own admission are giving samey performances week on week.

It wouldn't be so bad if the following weren't true:
1) Jade clearly won the sing-off, a fact which none of the judges denies but then found random other reasons to vote her off.

2) The fact there are two boybands in the competition. This was the perfect opportunity to reduce that quota.

3) The competition is very boy-heavy. Keeping Jade would have at least kept the female quota up for a couple more weeks.

I think if Jade had been up against Rylan, Chris, D3 or even Kye she probably would have stayed, but as it was she came up against the 'chosen' group this year and has therefore been booted out. I have always enjoyed the sing-off but this year more than any other it seems to be completely irrelevant in the decision the judges make.

I love the show and am not one to criticise, but the quality of acts left in now leaves so much to be desired and it could have been so much better if the judges had made decent decisions.

1) totally agree

2) I feel they would have done if it had been the other group

3) There are no gender quotas on this show, don't make it about sex - what next, race?

If Gary was "totally" behind her then he would of saved her. The producers wanted to keep Union J and they didn't want it to go to deadlock again. It's a shame as in the sing off Jade was the better singer.

Re point 3, I guess quota wasn't the right word, but I do believe they should keep a mixture of male and female artists for the entertainment of the show. Men and women usually have very different voices and this contrast can only be good for the show. Obviously other factors such as race/sexuality should never be considered.

Talent should clearly be the no. 1 priority, but this week they had a more talented female against a boyband (of which they already have one) and bearing in the mind the vastly dwindling number of female singers in the competition it is my view this should have been factored in to their decision of who to eliminate.

Totally agree with that. They kept that boyband for reasons other than talent. Jade was clearly better and their reasons for eliminating her were poor.

Well I much preferred Union J to Jade so I was happy with the result - although would have preferred to see Rylan or Baloney shown the door!!

But 2 weeks later Jade looked disinterested as if she didn't really want to be there. For once I agreed with Gary on that one when he said he thought he wanted her in the competition more than she did.

1) Jade clearly won the sing-off,.
Her sing-off performance was the best I've heard from her since the show began. I wanted to hear more.

Sorry she got booted...though she looks lovely wearing them.
