The boys' next single, from their upcoming album Take Me Home.

Written by Ed Sheeran. Quite minimalist and laid-back compared to their other singles.

Opinions?

No they're singing about how they want their fans to feel beautiful and not having to change themselves for them

So they not singer songwriters themselves but are releasing a singer-songwriter style song that is in a completely different style to what they have done before.
Syco have done strange things in the past, but this has be one of the weirdest

Not so strange. I am sure they will have had syco media bods trawling the net and seeing all the comments about how their records sound all the same. They can't win. This is a completely different tact so no one can say it is WMYB part 3.

I don't think it has number 1 stamped all over it but if it keeps the fans happy and sells the album then it has done it's job

You can tell this is definitely written by Ed Sheeran, what was once a fun nonsensical boyband has been made dreary and mournful.

Bless Ed Sheeran but he could do with cheering up.

I listened to the first half of the song and turned it off - fans will lap it up though as like their debut we believe they're singing to them

Well, at least it's different to what they've done so far. People say that they want to see them do a ballad etc.

I agree Chi, very singer-songwriter style, but then they have always gone with it being an Ed Sheeran song. Ed himself said he thought it was good they wanted to try something different and felt this was perfect.

I'd like to see them "perform," it "live," and see how steady they are on the vocal harmonies.

It's a pleasant enough little ditty but I can't say I'll be rushing to i-Tunes to download it.

But, as someone's said, I'm sure some the fans will go all gooey-eyed over it and scream when they perform it, as each person steps up to the mike to perform his little bit!

Rich.

I didn't say that they are going to fail, just that it is strange, but it may work.

IMO its quite a forgettable song. As with some songs you hear them for the first time and some parts stick in your head. Whereas with this I cant even remember how it goes.

Beat me to it!

It's an okay song, I quite like the lyrics; although that's more a testament to Ed than to 1D

a-ha!! i am so happy with "little things".

it is a very stripped back, laid-back, beautiful and amazing gift for the fans with no care for what the outside world may make of it, lolz!!

very gutsy, i say!!

really loving their much improved and so much more confident voices...

and zayn starting the song with an "attack" startlingly different from what i expected seeing his r&b and pop favourites and influences.

the start brought to mind the good old john denver country songs one grew up with and would imagine singing contentedly around a campfire with select faithful friends... love, love... love!!

What a silly collection of nonsense things that a girl wants to hear and that a bloke would say to get her into bed.

Emotional claptrap at it's best.

All the time the bloke is really closing his eyes and thinking about some pin up he will never get.

Wish they would write their own stuff instead of other people doing their dirty work for them.

They co-wrote most of the songs on their new album.

The lyrics are retarded, but the song itself is quite lovely.
