I am ready for the tweenies and teenage girls to knock me on this one but here goes.

What a complete utter pair of girls blouses they were last night. In their save me song they couldn't sing because of the tears and making their song more out of tune than it should be.

And the during Jade's save me song the camera panned to the background to see two of them canoodling in the corner hugging each other as one bawled.

They really need to get a grip. Someone has to be in the bottom two and its sad but their level of devastation was abit OTT for my liking. Honestly boys Grow a pair and butch up already.

And Louis didn't help matters with his crying at the end there.

Their fanbase is over exagerrated. They're nothing different or unique to whats out there. Crying like that over this really was embarrassing for young men

Unlike the older contestants, they probably have no idea how difficult it is to make it. It's been easy for them up to this point.

But at least she was stoic enough not to provide an over the top sadness at the prospect of leaving. However this thread is not in defence of Jade but rather at Union J's overreaction at being in the bottom 2. They are young men who didn't need to act like they were told that their pet had just died or got a fatal diagnosis from the doctor. They were pathetic.

All that makeup makes them look like a girl group. What's happened to men these days?

Yep, I thought Jade was very dignified, even when she was given the news that she knew, from the expression on her face, was coming.

To his credit, I think one of the lads.....(don't ask me his name, they all blur into one..I normally divide them into the "pretty," or the "gonky," ones..who the girls still scream at "because he's so cute.")....realized how inappropriate it all was, broke away and separated himself from the others and watched her performance..

Rich.

Er can you please explain what a girls blouse means ? Do you mean a wuss as in crying like a girl? Tsk Tsk such an old fashioned view. Boys can cry now too you know as it is 2012! I am not a teenie by the way but just hate this misconception of boys shouldn't cry! Why not? they are human just like girls are!

I'm totally in favour of boys and men crying and letting their emotions out, but I get uncomfortable with the histrionics we're seeing....
Maybe they're all catching it from Rylan?

That, for me, would apply to both male and female contestants, should one of the female contestants behave in such a way..
So far, IMO, they've all been pretty dignified, by comparison.

Rich.

I am for boys having emotions. Boys should indeed cry but these boys were over dramatic. This is coming from a gay man so I can tell you I have met many a drama queen but these boys took it to whole new levels. My views aren't old fashioned and the words I use are just expressions but these boys need to get a grip.

Ok I take your explanation but I still dont think it was necessary to use the words *girls blouse* or *butch up*

Seemed a bit contrived.

Maybe their reaction was due to the realisation that District 3 must be beating them in the contest for the twitter tweenie "OMG they iz well fit innit!!!" vote

I still can't take them that seriously because George Shelley is genuinely like the twin of Miranda Cosgrove!

They are alright though, I much prefer them to Jahmene, District 3 and Christopher, and they're above Rylan for me too.

Or, that in spite of a pretty dire performance by both of them, that District 3 are way ahead in terms of being able to sing passable vocal harmonies..

They probably, going by past situations never thought they'd be exposed like they were on Saturday, i.e. have to really rely on nothing but what they could do vocally..which, was, far better than I was expecting..dodgy, though it was, in quite a few places.

Sorry for that. I just thought they were normal British colloquialisms. I am not really sexist but they got my ire up.

Sorry but she had 48 hour vocal rest last week, she had literally a day to learn her song and even then, her throat wasn't at its' best. Then this week, she had a really tough song choice. However, to say she didn't give a sh!t in the sing-off is rediculous, regardless of whether you're a fan of Union J or not, they did not sing in tune whereas she gave it her all.

It's rediculous that the act who gave a shambles of a performance was saved.

Union J were bad, but not as awful as that Austin boy who balled his eyes out after every single performance, if you cannot learn to take criticism from the judges without turning on the water works then you are suited to theatre & not the x factor. You are on the show to sing & not put on a emotional tear jerking performance for the audience. In short boys who ball their eyes out, should either buy a multi pack of Snickers or not bother applying for the singing competition as the wailing to mummy isn't going to get you the sympathy vote. So do yourself a favour and grow a pair.

Louis really made me chuckle with his crying at the end

And meh, other than Josh (I think) I didn't notice them getting in too much of a state.

Even Chris got more votes than them shows their fanbase is small compared to his.
