Nicole is stupid, jade WON'T get signed

Silly excuse from Nicole, and giving false hope. Why would a tenth place finalist get signed? It's obvious she was told what to do and came up with that excuse. There are TWO boy bands in the contest, Jade was different and deserved to stay. But I guess George Shelley will sell more concert tickets for the tour perhaps.

She'll get signed but the chances of her are having commercial success are very small unless she's picked up by high profile label.

Because she may well appeal to a more sophisticated audience than the daft lot that waste their money voting on the x factor. Using your criterion, it would mean that producers would see Rylan and Christopher as a more viable option.

Nicole voted with her hormones. it's obvious she preferred the boys (I believe for the wrong reasons) and wanted Jade out. I think she was insincere in what she said to Jade.

Who are Lucie Jones, Treyc Cohen and Sophie Habibis signed with? She's unlikely to be a recording artist but may be able to sustain a singing career for a while.

Sadly, I agree..Lucie Jones was one of my favourite contestants in a long while and a really talented singer.

Unfortunately, that doesn't guarantee any chance of a recording contract once the X-Factor machine has chewed you up and spat you out..

In many ways it's horribly cruel that a person gets just a glimpse for a few months of something they'll never have..but, I guess they all know the score when they go in for it.

Jade was one of my favourites so I'm gutted she was kicked out on arguably the weakest set of reasons I've heard.

I fear as Jade has left quite early she won't be picked up by one of the bigger labels.

Doubt that Jade will release a record unless it's similar to that generic dance track that Rachel Adedeji did.

I agree. She's good, but not outstanding, and she left too early.

She will get signed. She IS a ready-made popstar, record labels would be silly to let her slip away. She's better off without the show IMO.

She will not get signed, she will end up on the Town Show circuit like the rest of them.

They give false hope to all of them with their false critiques week in, week out. Only the older, wiser ones like Kye and James will see the show for what it is, the comments for what they are and realise they are out on their arse and of no interest once they are 'used and abused' by the Cowell machine.

I feel sorry for young, nervous and gullible types like Jahmene who are being promised the world but will be finished, like so many before them, before they are 22.

It's almost funny in a way...

George's hair > Jade

That was the reason behind the judges decision. Like the OP alluded to, they want Union J on the tour to sell tickets. It's simple economics.

And Nicole was just giving out false platitudes, maybe to ease her own conscience? Because Jade will simply disappear back to obscurity like so many other ex-X Factor contestants.

This genius comic strip from The Fix Factor just about sums it all up succinctly:

Agree with everything you say there , Lucie was one of the best contestants the show has had.

Shes nowhere near a ready made pop star , she has the look but that is it , she lacks everything else.

I'ld be suprised if she gets a record deal , if she somehow does she wont last 5 minutes because shes not upto it.

As I said last night she'll be doing karaoke in a year or so. A great shame but being voted out in week four is career suicide. Who remembers Sophie Habibis now?

The fact she's talented and looks great won't save her. That girl with the Nigerian name who got voted off later and had an amazing voice can be seen singing 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' in some Butlins on youtube.

Lucie was good, although I don't think she was outstanding. She had a smaller range than they realized, and "Footprints in the Sand" led to some major caterwauling when she sang beyond her limitations on those screechy high notes.

I LOVE her "Sweet Child o' Mine" performance though, as well as "My Funny Valentine", and do like her a lot. Simon wasn't right by any means. (He's primarily wrong. Just a vapid, bloated assbag.) Just saying it didn't shock me quite as much when she landed there after that dreadful Top 8 song choice.

To be fair, Lucie has worked since the X-Factor. She's been in Les Mis and done some modelling. That's better than a lot of ex-contestants. And Nicole had to say that to Jade. She can hardly say the truth.

She'll get work out of being on XF but she won't become a pop star.

Well it worked well for Jennifer Hudson.

She won't be big. No one is really because the contract they sign is like...well an egotistic man's one. It's a ridiculous contract tbh. It more or less says you can't be a success without syco.
