Seriously. Yet Olly can sing and is way more attractive than Robbie.

Something making Olly seem good was one thing I was not expecting last night.

Can't stand Robbie Williams' singing voice. Never could. Never will. As for his mannerisms; he's like pop's answer to Norman Wisdom.

He needs to calm it down.
But after hearing that song last night, all the references to candy must refer to nose candy. There's no other possible way of explaining why it exists. |

I doubt Olly could give a performance as good as this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4DJMPGNiD0 ![]() Robbie obviously isnt Frank but this is still good, and rather moving

Robbie Williams covers his bad singing by prancing about on stage |

I thought this! I won't deny he was good in his day, but it's as if he's seen Olly Murs (who essentially is the Robbie Williams of today, except MUCH more attractive) and thought 'oh god somebody's replacing me', so has to be exactly the same. But instead he just reminded me of a drunk dad at a wedding or something, he's really lost it.

I would have likened him to Black Lace and Agadoo after that shambles of a song. He's more Butlins than Baloney-Maloney now. It's a shame- he made some good pop when he was younger.

All that high - jinx in his performance last night (sitting on people's laps etc...) was just to distract from the fact that:
a) he can't actually sing b) he's lost his looks (going grey and middle aged spread) c) the song was abysmal |

I thought Robbie was embarrassing on the show. First, he looks dreadful - he has put on tons of weight, he was looking rough, his clothes were too tight for someone of his age, he was like mutton dressed as lad. In 10 years time he will be giving Elton a run for his money in the out of shape ageing old queen in showbiz drag stakes.
Also, dry humping Louis and sitting on the knee of a cringing man in the audience was yucky. There are things that inappropriate for a family show. He was not funny, but desperate. Also, the song was mostly rubbish, like a child's chant. Will probaby sell loads then! |

According to Wikipedia Robbie has sold over 70m solo records, Cliff has sold 250m. These sales are worldwide. Cliff appears to be our best selling solo male artist globally. But Robbie seemingly has sold more albums in the UK than Cliff. It's on this basis that he is referred to as the UK's best selling male artist. What that means is most sales within the UK, but Cliff has substantially outsold him around the rest of the world. It will take some time for Robbie to catch up, but he's only just over half Cliff's age, so he has time! |

He can sing Candy better than what he did in this performance, he was just more concerned with messing about and showing off to the crowd!

I always remember the remark made by a showbiz reporter after Messrs, Williams and Murs sung a duet on the X Factor final in 2009. On that occasion Williams came in late at the beginning of the song and was only saved by Murs presence of mind,
The scribbler remarked that "they were just like two drunks in car park" a wonderful description of what actually occured. It is interesting that Simon Cowell made the comment during that series that Robbie Williams was never a great singer but was a great showman. He then went on to say that Murs was not a great singer but was potentially a good showman. I am no fan of either singer and as for suggesting that Murs is attractive this prompts the remark, "Should have gone to Specsavers". If I personally never saw or heard either singer ever again it would be too soon. As for the statement that RW has turned into an OM wannabe apart from being highly inaccurate it is a massive insult to an entertainer who is no favourite of mine but has a track record which Murs will never equal no matter how long he is in the business. One word of advice to man from Essex, once you believe your own publiciity it is only a matter of time before you are finished. . |

Didn't Olly always say on the show that Robbie was his idol?
I thought he was meant to have modelled himself on Robbie, hence the similarities. ![]() I love both of them.
