Anyone think he could?

If he does i'm going to look like a f***ing idiot because I was at his audition and came home and declared to everyone here that 'the winner definitely wont come from the Newcastle auditions'

I think he will tbh. I've had 200 on him so far so I hope he does. He's magnificent. I'm kinda obsessed with him.

Don't see why not , will definitely be in the final

i'm tied. He's my favourite in the competition but on the other hand, SyCo are generally dreadful with males; Steve, Shayne, Leon, Joe, Matt (all different types of artist, all let down by their label). It'd be a waste if James was signed by them then dropped.

I think he could win, but he'd do better from coming second.

No. Not because I don't think he's good (and I don't), but because in X Factor terms he's edgy and divisive, and edgy and divisive never wins. The (stereotypical) grannies won't like him at all.

Says how much you know.

In answer to the question - YES!!!

He's the first male vocalist on the show I have ever seen any potential in as an artist, and is the first male vocalist I have ever thought had any kind of exceptional talent.

I don't think the UK version has ever really focused on talent when it comes to the male acts, I think it's mostly been based on looks/personality/story.

Jahmene is talented, but he isn't a good singer. He has a brilliant voice and tries to sing the way I personally like singers to sing, but he just has very poor control and ruins his songs with pointless screeches and adlibs.

He will win. Ella will be second. I don't know how well either will do in the real world though.

He'll come third and be signed straight away. Syco will make an offer but I wouldn't be surprised if James looked for a different label.

You forgot "cheese". Totally agree with you on James.

Jahmene is a good singer in my opinion, but he is too nice, and they will play it safe with him like they did with Joe.

No he is a below average singer.

On reflection I'm scenting a re-run of 2010

Moody and divisive James (Cher) finishes fourth after being controversially saved by the judges over grannies' favourite Christopher (Mary) who did better in the voting but could never have become a pop star.

Boy band - whichever of them lasts that long - finishes third then has the most commercial success over the next couple of years at least.

Final between the two widely regarded, unthreatening singers Ella and Jahmene (Matt and Rebecca) - that one could go either way.

Don't compare Tesco Mary to that monster, it's demeaning.

It would be very interesting if he did I think, because all the male winners have been quite safe so far, it's only been Little Mix, Alexandra and to an extent Leona who could be marketed as current or exciting, There's no way James will be molded into Matt Cardle Pt II so it would probably be best for the show if he did win.

But I can see Jahmene winning, another incredibly dull flop male winner.
