My top years (ones I enjoyed the most) were 2006 and 2008.

6 was my worst, most boring final, joe mcelderry SNOOZE, I didn't even watch, just watched when they announced winner.

think leon was a terrible winner but that year had some interesting acts and was quite entertaining
I absolutely loved last year, if only for Little Mix. I find I can only really enjoy a series if there's a contestant worth supporting.
This year's the complete opposite. I've actually lost my top 4 acts 4 weeks on the trot, and I was already disillusioned with this season after the Carolynne fiasco.
Season 6 was great for the first month, but after Rachel and Miss Frank left I lost interest.

You are spot on with this...except the last bit....no one to support ...lost all my faves in the first 4 weeks

Series 5 was when It kicked off big time for X Factor everyone was talking about it.
Diana was my favourite but then she left Alexandra took my interest. But everyone was talented and deserved a contract.
I reallly enjoyed Series 7 - Cher and Rebecca are fantastic.
Last year Misha deserved to win but loved Little Mix. It was a good programme to watch entertainment wise.

Best: Series 2 - The final was so close between Shayne Ward and Andy Abrahams, both were great. There were lots of good acts - Brenda, Maria, Chenai(?), Journey South, Conways were good singers but boring, a decent boyband...and of course Chico.
Also...series 5 - Cowell decided to revamp the show and make it bigger and better, after the full series 4. Quite a few good acts, JLS, Alex, Ruth were great. Did get a bit sick of the fawning over Cheryl Cole.
I loved series 7 too, but all the manipulation ruined it - Waissel, Cher, 1D favouritism. Cheryl Cole/Cowell love-in.
Worst: - last series for me. Thought it was terrible, although Little Mix were a good group.
