Some of our judges aren't here this evening, so I'll be posting comments for them.
However, we begin with someone who is here as we go to Dylan and Adam Burridge! Monster - Paramore (male cover) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjvBYTicoH0 |

Adam
I knew straight away when this theme came out, that you could really slip into a really obvious song choice. There are just so many obvious choices that fit the theme, for you. So I wanted to go away from obviousnous. And into Paramore. Very unexpected. I think the cover, is perfect for your voice. You have this lovely, easy to listen to voice, that I hope to continue showing. |

Hey Adam, that was quite a nice start to the show, a very nice little rendition of the song, and I think on a vocal level, it worked quite nicely – the tone especially was lovely. My only problem is that it all felt a little bit ‘nice’, I kind of wanted you to step it up a little bit this week, and I know the theme was quite limiting, but this is just kind of resting on pretty. Not a bad start, though! SD: That is the kinda performance that i would typically expect from you and you definitely delivered tonight. The song choice did sought of suit you and i loved the arrangement. Given the theme, i definitely expected more from you but i did like your performance. Well done! |

Melanie
So far I have been a little meh with you. You have given good performances, just not amazing. But girl this was your week. This was absolutly amazing. Taylor Momsen, actually has a voice that also suits yours. This just fit you so much. You didnt have to go over the top. It was rocky, vocally perfect. Your best performance to date Melanie. Brilliant. |

Firstly, I have to give so much credit to Zak and Nail for helping me pick this song, I really was at a bit of a loss with where to g with you this week. That being said, I think I eventually found a great song for you – I can imagine your voice sounding flawless over those big notes in the song, and you have enough personality and attitude to really carry the rest of the track. I think you’re really growing every week and you have a lot further to grow! SD: Melanie Masson This song has been way overused especially when compared to almost lover. It is too predicted and your mentor probably took ten seconds to come up with the song. I really like the idea of you singing this song even though its not the most ideal fit for you. So kudos to your mentor for making this choice. Nonetheless, i actually enjoyed your performance. |

Mia and the Moon are the only Group who haven't faced the sing-off so far, and Jess intends to keep it that way!

Mia & The Moon
Girls, so far you have been head above the other groups. One of my favourite acts actually. This performance was good, it suited your voice and who you are as artists really well. I just found the song, and therefore the performance a little dull. I think you are becoming a bit to familiar, so I would like a little mix up. But overall pretty good performance. |

When I saw this song choice, I was actually quite scared for you, as I absolutely HATE Duffy and everything she comes out with, however, once I got past Duffy’s voice, I began to see how this song choice was actually very clever. So yeah, this was very pleasant, if a little unremarkable, but it was a difficult theme, so I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt. SD: Some might find the song too dreary and dull but i absolutely loved it. I believe that was your best vocal performance till date and i thought that the song was very much in your comfort zone. Im in huge favor of taking you in this direction. You mentor made a wise choice and you definitely delivered a beautiful performance. |

Nathan
Nathan, this week I wanted to do something a bit different for you. I chose a bit of a risky old song last well, and you were saved. This week, I wanted a very modern song, but not completely in your genre. But you took this song (Such an epic song btw) and made it your own. You have a great voice, and I loved that performance alot. |

I love how every week Dylan takes a major risk with you Nathan – I was not expecting that song choice for you at all, but I do genuinely think that worked so well. It’s an excellent song that I believe you could add your own unique spin on, and I also think it fitted your own personal style as a performer. One of my favourites from you so far! SD: Oh no, i wasnt a huge fan of that. You have a slightly richer soulful tone and it wasnt a good fit. It could have worked but i just didnt feel it. I do believe that you have great potential to go far in the competition but dont think that performance was strong enough. |

Adam Burridge
This was a slight disappointment Adam, I’d have thought you’d have done Halloween extremely well and provide us with a really haunting ballad- it almost seemed inevitable had been the case you’d have been the performer of the week. I’m not saying this was a bad performance, just that it wasn’t the best fit for you. Melanie Masson This was an absolute perfect fit for you, Melanie! It was an incredible vocal from you- but what else would I expect? You’re becoming one of the dark horses of this competition as each week you just deliver vocally. Yes you could take more risks, but I can overlook that and safely say that within your comfort zone- you absolutely obliterate everyone else in the contest. Mia and the Moon This was your strongest performance to date girls, it had a sense of familiarity but it wasn’t a guitar based track- and I think it allowed you to gel together more as a group. You girls are incredible, and you have such talent and I hope people continue to support you as you overcome all theme restrictions and just deliver. Excellent girls. Nathan-Fagan Gayle I hate to be negative, but I really didn’t like this performances. I understand the limitation of the theme- but this was just bland and didn’t represent you as an artist at all imo. We’re looking for someone to sell records and if I heard that track- I’d overlook it. There’s times when you need to tell your mentor where you want to go because this was just a shocking let down. |

Ella
When I first started listening to this song, I wasnt completely sure about it. It just didnt work for a bit. However as I kept listing, it got better and better, and I can understand exactly where your mentor was going now. Not my favourite performance of yours, but good one none the less. And Dollhouse <3 |

Ella Henderson
I didn't really like this at all Ella, with you everything just blends into one and I might as well just have a template for my comment. It's nice enough you singing because you do have serious pipes- but there is never any excitement to your performance, you never bring any fun- it's just stand there, sing and then leave. I've listened to this song twice now and the second time was actually worse than the first because it's such funeral music and you're not a funeral singer. |

The first few times I listened to this I was a little unconvinced, but actually something kept drawing me back to this song, and the more I hear it, the more genius I found this as a song choice for Ella. I like how restrained and controlled the vocals were, but at the same time hinting to your excellent range – it really was quite genius, I loved it, well done. SD: That was unbelievable and you are undeniable. The song has such a haunting melody and your gorgeous voice was a perfect complement. You were great throughout the entire song but the chorus particularly suited your voice. You nailed the vocals and definitely conveyed strong emotion. It was a really captivating performance. |

Mark Foster is the kind of act I envision you to be like in real life, and I thought this song was kind of very much up both my street and yours, stylistically. I think this song kind of mixed up the direction you’ve been going in and added something a little differently, I especially liked that little breakdown section for you, and I hope people continue giving you a chance, because I’m having so much fun mentoring you and I really don’t want it to stop. SD: I have been a huge fan of the kinda songs your mentor picked for you but tonight wasnt a part of it. That was such a hideous song choice and it was an utter train wreck. The vocals were all over the place and i just didnt get it. I hope that you will be able to survive the bottom 2 and come back to impress us with performances similar to your previous song choices. |

Kye
Kye, I think this is the first week I havent completely gotten your performance. You have been one of my favourites in this contest, constantly right up the top 3 of my vote, so make no mistake Im a big fan. But this week, I just didnt feel it. I dont think the vocals of the song, fit your vocals, which I love. However the performance was alright, and I love you anyways. |

Kye Sones
This was okay, Kye! There wasn't anything which made me hate it and I like how Gav has a vision. My main problem was the suitability, but it worked in places and in this industry you have to take risks. Not the greatest performance of the evening but by far not the worst. I hope to see you next week. |

I KNEW someone would use this song in one of it’s incarnations, but I’m quite pleased it was you actually. What it lacked in originality it made up for in suitability – that song really is you all over, and I thought it was breathtaking, stunning, remarkable and many other things. Excellent choice. SD: That was really lovely. No one can fault this song choice as JVM is easily the most obvious artist that anyone can pick for you. To be very honest, i kinda liked it. The vocals were alright but i would have preferred more distinct dynamics. Nevertheless, you did a good job tonight. Well done. |
