I agree about the USA but then it's a much bigger country so the talent pool is larger.
Not sure about the AU show as I haven't watched it yet but from what I've heard it seems to be on the same level as the UK one. They have some amazing singers but some pretty average ones as well. I do enjoy the lack of joke acts though.
