Monday gloom. Precipitation has persisted permanently. The Nebosphere is wetter than Colin Bakers canoeing pants.

Would it be a good idea to make a cocktail in honour of (to my knowledge) the only forum member who was named by their parents directly after a Doctor Who companion.

Luckily for her it was Zoe, not Turlough or K9.

How cool is that? *adopts ded jelluss weedledeedle face*

And how cool must Zoe's parents be?

Well done for devoting time to public service there Al. 31 hours? Blimey. I was very impressed with the number of young cadets from all the services who were out in numbers collecting for poppies in our high street. When I was young I didn't want anything to do with military related youth organisations (goddam commie pinko hippy). But these days, having spoken to some poppy collection youngsters, I change my mind somewhat. They show a great appreciation for the ideals of community and caring for one another and respect. It takes effort to keep society moving forwards and getting better. Volunteers for this sort of thing make me smile.

That's very cool indeed, Zoe's parents must be awesome. I'm so glad my parents didn't do that, knowing my luck I would have been christened Dodo!

Right! *rubs hands together* lets get our thinking tackle in gear and sort out this cocktail. OK, so, will have a splash of that, a dash of this, a measure of that, throw in a pinch of that, decorate the glass and VOILA! What do you think?

*places glass on the bar*

Bravo! Zoe in a glass. Sparkly, petite and, erm, probably a massive genius and everything.

*Wanders through the door after a long absence*

Oooo! Zoe in a glass!

*Gets one from autoserve and downs in one*

Very tasty! Light on the tongue . . . nice aroma . . . could probably be aged a bit more though.

Good morning!

The Zoe in a glass looks lush.

**gets a glass from auto-serve**

I'll take my time with this drink -- I reckon intoxication from this sparkly little number will sneak up upon its drinker slowly, but effectively enough. It's sweet, though; I like that.

That's a cause for celebration, I think.

Let's get this party started!

I'd love to party, but I'm on the early shift (8 hour time difference from me to Inn time) and must go to bed soon.

Not to bad, thanks Percy. Sitting here at work monitoring the junior bodies. I started my release paper work this morning and was shocked to discover I'm actually turning in my ID card on Jan 4th 2013 noth the 7th I'm then on "Terminal Leave" until January 23rd, which means I still have to be good until that date as I'm still subject to the "Code of Service Disciline".

*Staggers through the doors gets a double of everything from the autoserve*

I have just been declared a free man! My EX moved to another province over here in the colonies without telling me in advance! I am no longer financially responsible for her! She dropped her child off with his natural father and left! I will still help out with the boy because it's not his fault who his mother is, but DAMN this takes a weight off! Especially so close to my retirement!

Thanks Torry. I'm just sorry I couldn't save the child from some the crap he had to see regarding his mother. However, if someone refuses to take their medication what can you do really? I'm just glad he's in a better location now with his natural father.

I've spent too long working on the Interflora website recently. I read the episode title as Alyssum of the Daleks.

So, I'll have an Alyssum Ale, please! Lovely bouquet.

Morning all. I know I've been absent a lot, but with all the personal crap going on it's hard to be as social as I want to be. Oh well, 49 days to FREEDOM!!!!

If there's one thing that REALLY gets my goat, it's that young boy from the village I employ as a goatherd.

Morning all.
