Many here prefer their contestants to be about the Karaoke Factor. Thread after thread disparages Lucy in this manner. They ignore the fact apparently this year's auditions were opened asking those who wished to contribute their own songs would be welcomed.

I'm not worried about Lucy as I think she's going to be fine. She's managed to showcase herself and probably wants out before she has to go on the tour. She'd prefer to use that time for a solo tour. Also, having signed a contract, any songs she writes at the moment will be owned by X Factor: she doesn't want to keep doing that.

I hope she gets out as soon as possible when this turns out to be her choice. She would be a fool to stay, rather than quit.
