Okay, we have a list for the best album of the year, but have you bought a cd, then found it was pants?

So mine was Jamie Cullum, Twenty Something, played it once, hated it, and recently traded it in to the 2nd hand shop for the princely sum of a quid!

It's Got To Be "Rock Christmas"
S Club 7!!!!!!! Since when have S Club 7 been rock! Also featuring great rock tracks such as N-Sync - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Boyz II Men - Silent Night, and to top it off R Kelly singing Religious Love!
Rock Christmas! That's A Laugh!

This is an easy one for me.

Theodore Unit - 718. I thought it would be good, but it was awful .

The worst album I've bought this year was Joss Stone "The Soul Sessions". I just could not get into it at all - I think her voice is so affected and she really irritates me. An example of buying a cd before I had heard any of her material.

Big disappointment, I can't see what all the fuss was about.

That would have been worth it for the Boyz II Men song though!!!! They sang that in an epsiode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air once, fascinatingly enough!

Anyway, back on topic, worst album i had was The Muppet Babies, Rocket to the Stars! Apart from the classic song "Good things happen in the dark", it wasn't great

Embrace - Out of Nothing. 'If you've never been' was a lovely album, heartfelt and well constructed. The new one was just bland, sorry boys!

I'll third that! I heard a single a few times on XFM and got hold of the album as I liked what I heard.

What a disappointment!

Yeah, first album was brilliant but the second Libertines album really disappointed me as well. Sounds like it was really rushed to me and not much effort put into it.

Also, Interpol's second album, 'Antics' was probably an even bigger disappointment to me. I think the reviews have been good for it but I just can't get into it and don't like it at all .

I think I managed to avoid anything massivly disappointing that was released this year! The worst (or most disappointing I suppose) I bought was Poison the Well's last album... then I saw them live and was even more disappointed! Damn shame...

I bought Nellys' album because I had liked one of the songs that I had heard on MTV. Big mistake. It was terrible. Gave it to my daughter. She loves it. No accounting for taste.

well, none this year, the last album I was dissapointed in was the white stripes album. I liked 'seven nation army' and got the album on the strength of that. What I heard though, in the rest, was ripped off late sixties blues riffs with no credit given to the original writers.
Especially when I heard the guitar instrumentation of 'voodo chile' on one track, with NO credits to Jimi hendrix at all on the album.

I agree with you there. I also bought the original Destinys Child CD (although i cant remember the name) and that was rubbish too. Very gospel which really isnt me.

I should of learnt my lesson really
