I really hope they do, there really isn't a girlband out there currently like them. The last big girl band the US had was Danity Kane, and PCD. Really hope they get promoted well over there, as they seem to have gained a massive following in Australia also.

I'm sure there are at least 3 other threads with the same title

Anyway, I hope they do but at the moment I think they should concentrate on the UK first (and Australia for that matter). I don't want them to rush things. They will have to break the UK first! That said, their new single is quite a strong song so I'm confident they'll do well, hopefully their album can sell well enough as that's what really matters after all.

Yea even concentrate on Australia and some European Countries get that fanbase up, however i wouldn;t be surprised to see them on the USA Version at some stage.

They are doing quite well at the moment, Wings is one of the best-sellers of the year which is great...and I'm pretty confident that DNA will also be another massive hit for them. The album sampler sounds great too, looking to be one of my favourite debuts from an x factor winner (judging from the album sampler that is)...

Even if the album doesn't do well in the UK which I strongly doubt it doesn't have to stop them from trying to crack America. Look at Cher Lloyd for example.

They have built a strong fan-base in Europe as well, I've noticed on twitter...so they should be focusing on Europe first.

Nope! Only if the paint a picture of the US on the outside of an Ostrich egg and then drop it.

I think they might be able to. British acts are doing well in America and if they are promoted well I don't see why not, the two songs I have heard seem catchy enough. Plus there is a gap in the market over their for girl bands, and before people say America aren't interested in girl bands the same thing was said about boy bands and look how well One Direction have done.

Isn't it more important that they crack the UK?

I really don't understand the threads about acts cracking America - why is it so important?

IMHO young, hormonal teenage girls love boybands whever they live. I wouldn't say that's necessarily true of girlbands though.

Because it's the biggest music market in the world.

I think they can do it, they seem to have a few fans from the US on social networking sites already and that will only grow once they promote.

But Little Mix appeal to teenage girls as well so they might still have a chance.

Because if you crack America, you're pretty much a superstar everywhere.
