Chia seeds

They seem to be the latest health food craze. Does anyone use them?

I prefer chia seeds to flax if I'm honest.

Omg! I love seeds etc but haven't come across these. As a veggie I'm really interested - I live in South Wales so doubt I'll have an easy availability.
I've used linseeds.

Have a look in your local Holland and Barrett, as they stock these seeds. They're pretty pricey (£12.00), but if the health claims are to be believed, then they're worth it.

My Mum's been using chia seeds for ages and sprinkles them on her fruit and yoghurt in the morning. They're fab for making you feel full but make me feel a bit queasy when she makes them into a sludge to drink, it just looks like frog spawn!

Oh thanks, I really will - as a veggie I love grains & their benifits.

I use them a lot, chia fresca is a lovely drink in the summer. I mix chia gel into my green smoothies and sprinkle them on many foods. They are great and much cheaper to buy online than at H&B!
