I understand why they're doing it, will inflate the winner's singles sales which have subsided dramatically in recent years - they're hoping to make the winner look more successful.

Seems a bit desperate ti me if true as the same week the winners song is released a charity single for Hillsborough is being released which imo will be xmas no.1.

I think they struggled last year, which is why they drafted in One Direction and JLS.
