Need For Speed Most Wanted - thread

Hi all,

My copy is now winging it's way from shopto (a GREAT site for buying games btw).

I'm looking to add fellow NFS'ers for time chasing/autolog shenanigans. Please add your PSN to this thread if you would like to get involved.

Mine is mrobbo.

I wont be getting this on launch but I am planning on getting it either before Christmas if a good offer turns up or for Christmas. After enjoying the Autolog on Hot Pursuit I am happy to have more people adding times on my friends list so feel free to add me if you want (Although as I say I wont have the game right away).

PSN - Random127 (Please add 'DS' to the message so I know were you got my name from).

I might be getting it, I loved the original PS2 version. I wish they would put it back on the shop, I was going to get it...

Might be asking for this for christmas, although The Run is still in its packaging

I've been playing this since Monday night as I unlocked it on pc via VPN. It's a cracking game, if you loved burnout paradise you will love this. The online mode is cracking too, and this is comming from someone who hates racing games online.

The NFS fans won't bee too impressed the way the game has gone, hopefully there is a demo they can try before they buy.

Which is why I don't like this game
sadly having quite enjoyed the past 2 NFS games (Discounting Shift).

I hate open world driving games, I'd rather just pick a race from a menu & then go race, Really dislike having to drive around looking for stuff to do.

Loved every Burnout game until Paradise which is a game I detested so much its the only game I've ever traded in.
Thought all of the original, Non open world Burnout games were miles better than that piece of c**p Paradise.

Might pick this up for my son at xmas. He loved BP, and so did I.
Definitely looks like Paradise with all the billboards and gates and things.

Was going to get him F1 2012, but think he'd like this better.

Been playing it on and off today since i got it, loving it so far, it's very much Burnout Paradise 2 in all but name. It's a shame that the music isn't more like Burnout Paradise though, the majority of the crummy dubstep songs on offer here are god-awful, but i suppose that's where custom soundtracks come in handy! Other than that though, i'd highly recommend the game, especially if you're a fan of Criterion racers (i can see hardcore NFS fans being a bit miffed that they're getting a Burnout game in NFS clothing though, but i always preferred Burnout so screw them! ).

I liked NFS Hot Pursuit & quite enjoyed NFS the Run which I played through recently so was planning to get this untill I found out it was open world.

Burnout Paradise is the only Burnout game I dislike primarily because of the open world nature of it, I started playing it but never got that far into it as I got fed up of having to drive around looking for an event to enter.
The side events you can do while driving about like knocking down signs, finding shortcuts etc... don't interest me, I just want to go race.

How do the cars handle? I loved Burnout Paradise but hated the vehicle handling found in Hot Pursuit, Shift 2 and The Run.

The cars handle the same as in BP, easy to drive and are eye watering fast, well some of them are

When taking out billboards watch out for the police, as you can land after doing a massive jump and just tap a police car and they chase you. But on the other hand you can ram a car off the road next to a police car and they do nothing

There are bucket loads of cars to drive.

The game's great so far. I prefer the racing in this to Burnout Paradise thanks to the big checkpoints and map navigator making it easier to find your way around.

Only gripes so far are the police can be a bit of a pain to get rid of at times. Also keep getting signed out of Autolog every 5 minutes. Hopefully just teething issues while the servers are getting hammered.

Awesome. To be honest the handling in Hot Pursuit was closer to BP than the others. Will pick this up for the Vita at some point.
