Been thinking, and I don't think want JT. Don't get me wrong, its a beautiful peace of music, and would suit if they leave together, but to me, when used during the departure of a character, it is used as a definitive "they're leaving and not coming back". Like Peggy, Stacey and Pat. If Chryed were JT for a second time, it adds more to the fact they are leaving and probably never coming back. whereas if they leave to the duff-duffs, there is always room for them to come back. See my thinking? Like i said, JT would be a perfect ending to a wonderful storyline, but it would just, to me anyway, make the fact that they are leaving all that more real. Would prefer it if they left to Stand By Me playing though. That songs defines them, and their journey, and would be more fitting for them. that's just my opinion though.

I personally really want Julia's theme and I really hope they never come back anyway. Comebacks very rarely work, no characters that I used to love have I liked when they've come back. And I don't think they would ever be treated the way they were deserved, don't think they would ever get the screen time and stories they deserved, unless Santer and DTC came back too! I want Chryed to leave and stay safe in our fic and imaginations, safe away from EE.

Chryed will always be safe in our fics and imaginations! But to me, JT is too definitive. I'm currently living in a fantasy world where, no, they are not going, and they are going to be members of the cast longer than Ian. If they JT, I will just break as it will be too real for me. But if they did play it, I wouldn't be complaining. I just prefer it not to be played, if you understand my weird logic...

I wouldn't mind them not having JT either, actually. In fact I'd be very happy with a quiet exit where they slipped out together. Making a big deal of everything with all their family and friends piling in is half of the problem with them being so disconnected from each other at the moment. Having a big send-off with everyone there, especially with everything so raw, is not what I feel they need at the moment. I think it would be better for them if it was just the two of them, a team once again, getting back to the core of them and their relationship the great team that they are, lovers and best friends and everything else, I'd be happy with that.

Because we forget, along with everything else, that Christian is Syed's best friend and that's a massive, massive thing that I don't think gets touched on enough. :')

Regarding JT - I want Julia's Theme in the sense that I don't want their ending to be a duff duff ending; ie on a cliffhanger or another one of those 'twists' :sleep: So basically, I want their ending to need/suit Julia's Theme, not because I think they deserve the theme itself. /not sure that makes any sense but it sort of does in my head!

That's if they get the ending of course :sleep:

Hope everyone is well. Been LOADS of posts since I was last on (woo,like old times) and I've not read them all but I bet there was some fab insight.

Last night was rather angsty but I thought it was good. Both suffering and hurt and kind of closed off needing other people to tell them what to do (try harder etc). It's of course going to get worse the longer it gets left but I'm still confident that they'll leave together, happy rnough and ready to make a go of it. They cant survive without each other.

Excited for the Pete episodes I think he'll do well, he does like to reference the past so it will be interesting to see what parts they discuss.
