BIB: True, true. I'm so sorry if I offended it was not my intention
.I hope in time, I will be able to watch the CP ep again. Eta: Can I say that I still love the cap of Chryed kissing with the confetti falling over them. I know the kiss was short but it is very nice screencap ![]() Hopefully. In and of itself, it's a beautiful episode, exactly what it should have been and everything I could have hoped for. I won't be watching until after they leave for sure, though. It's really gorgeous, isn't it? There are so many lovely caps from that episode, it was just visually stunning. Despite the fact it took place in the AB, so that was quite a feat of direction

Evening loves
![]() Sorry to be annoying but I've been out all day (totally not seeing both Tape shows...........:sleep so I haven't caught up yet, has there been any news? ![]() I guess people are still feeling down. I'm not going to pretend that last nights ep wasn't bad. However despite the complete lack of faith I have in tptb I have faith in Pete and I do believe that everything will be alright. I won't let yesterday taint the beautiful story and characters and I have faith that they will leave together and happy. I love Chryed, they love each other, and I love you all xChryed will feature in Soap Scoop tonight. We also found out from Daniel that Chryed will have a scene lasting 6-7 mins in their last episode ![]() Think that's all the news?! |

I must respectfully disagree with Lyra.
If the producers and writers had any serious respect for their characters I would agree. But this is EE, and they have demonstrated again and again that their priority is generating controversy and angst in order to titillate their audience. THAT is their priority. Not good story telling or the integrity of a character's personality. They believe that an interesting show is one that is wildly unpredictable, full of (some) controversy, titillating, and full of artificially generated emotional conflict. We who DO care about the characters and story absolutely do NOT owe it to The Crayon Crew to try to come up with some rational justification for what they've written. They do not deserve that level of consideration or respect. And there is none. They are playing games with little plastic LEGO people called Kristian and Syod. And it makes me quite angry and disappointed. Christian and Syed's story stopped being told a month or more ago. Lol! Its fine to disagree, perfectly understandable and proper normal. Perhaps I should explain that in order for me to 'enjoy' the storyline I isolate it in my mind from the machinations behind the scenes, other wise for me its like reading a book by looking one by one at the individual letters and punctuation marks. My long post was just about looking at the fictional arc, the storyline in isolaton from Crayon Crew, TPTB, etc. just the storyline as a storyline as a storyline and the characters as characters from what I saw on screen. My feelings about this are totally different from my feelings about the show when I look at it from an analytical point of view, but that is a different box in my mind and I put on a different hat to do that and it brings out different feelings. In terms of the execution of the storyline arc and the creative choices that TPTB made when constructing it there's no doubt that there are failings but I still enjoy the storyline as pure storyline and put away all the behind the scenes stuff and emerse myself in the show. I get no enjoyment from picking things apart as I watch them, deconstructing the script and wondering who made which creative choice and all that, I just watch it and reflect on what I see and that's what my long post was about. Its absolutely fine to disagree, but what I posted was in no way intended as any sort of validation of the creative choices of TPTB, or the construction or execution of the storyline but simply as an analysis of what I saw on screen and where I felt Syed was at. I hope that makes sense.

Evening! Aw, great posts about thread memories. There have been some really good times here, and I've had a blast since I joined a year and a half ago. The proposal news, bed scene, wheely chair night , pictionary, Jookie/Mookie/Cooklette/Cookie+anybody , panto.... ahh, I love us. And even if the thread does eventually fade out, we'll have those to look back on ![]() Quote:
OK, I've spent all day moaning about Chryed. : o
I have also called my mum (but was reading posts at the same time) and gone downstairs for some lunch (and watched EE again while I ate it) and a friend popped in briefly for a cuppa. But basically I've been on here, all day, listening and posting, trying to make sense of it and getting the ranting out of my system. I hate it when the thread gets all negative, and I'm sorry to have played a part in that today, but I had to share. My parting shot: - I felt nothing after last night's episode. - I don't believe in the story or the characters. - None of us can make it make sense without resorting to 'Syed's an arsehole', which cannot be what EE wanted to achieve. - Non-Chryed fans and casual viewers are just as confused as we are. - Even Jenn has left the optimistic corner. - No one knows what on earth the point of all this is, because it's not gripping or dramatic or exciting or moving. It's just stupid and pointless and boring. And we're the ones who are meant to care the most. Conclusion: Epic fail by EE. :mad : My response: Put last night's episode into Room 101, take a deep breath, and hope the next seven episodes are better. :rolleyes : I can't not love them, Chryed. : ( PS Apologies for generalising. I think Laura was brave enough to come on and be a bit optimistic. I don't wish to tar everyone with the same brush - there may be some people who are OK with it. If so, please speak up loud and proud and turn the mood around! ![]() ![]() Quote:
This was just tweeted by Daniel..
@danny_kay - Just had a sneaky look at Chryed's exit ep.. very long 6-7 min scene with just the two of them... but will it bring them together or apart?! ![]() Quote:
Lol, this just reminded me of when my mam was watching the last episode of wedding week and he did the bug-eye thing and she was like 'errr look at Syed's eyes, one's looking at you one's looking for you [pauses, looks at the screen thoughtfully for a second] I'd do Masood, like'.
It rather ruined my enjoyment of the scene . Quote:
Evening
Hope everyone's doing okay, I thought I'd just pop in and post a link to the fanvid I made for ChryedCon for those who couldn't be there I'm ignoring last night's ep and just remembering the Chryed and the Johnny & Marc partnershp I fell in love with - that's what Chemistry is about for me - hope you like it ![]() |

Just got back from Tape. My God, Marc was amazing. They all were but he was a stand out! And I met him (finally!) and got a picture with him and he was lovely and I'm still squeeing inside so yeah, can't really do proper sentences right now. But yeah, I need him to be really really successful because it really is a joy to watch him act. I'm quite proud of myself for not saying something stupid to him! But on a shallow note, WHY IS HE SO GORGEOUS?

I was second row....to be honest too enthralled with the talent that was Mr Elliott to notice anything around me!! I thought it was absolutely wonderful, such a lovely theatre, it was my first time, travelled up from the countryside....so wish I could go again next week, know so many people that I think would love!!!! Can honestly say, can't find a negative in the whole thing...oh yes...wait a minute I can....IT NEEDED TO BE LONGER!!!!!! What a talent he is....he plays drugged up, vindictive extremely well!!!!!
