Hear'say were badly booed by record company execs at an awards show they performed at just after winning Pop Stars or whatever that series was called. I remember watching and feeling very sorry for them as they had only had praise up to that point.

Well explain the acts getting booed on the x factor then
by the fans of others ! if they can do it at the show
why wouldn't they do it in other places

And to your last bit Sorry you lost me

Yer go to a footie match to see a game of footie some Ozzie gezzer on the pitch so they got booed it is not a concert arena it is a footie match full of mainly men, so come on he got booed it aint the same as being booed at a concert, yer is there to see a concert and if you boo that is not that nice so now do you get me point. Do not take something to the vets if it needs to go to the doctors me ma says. well you do not take it to a footie match if he needs to be at a nightclub

Yes I got that bit the first time

But as i asked "if fans of X factor can boo on the actual show why would they *not* boo outside of it "??
who do you think were booing ? people who never watched the X factor ? it stands to reason it was the fans of other acts , and it would have happened whomever had won and were singing on totp's

And the bit you confused me with was the dyslexia bit
why were you quoting me when Ive not said anything about it

I have to say that this is exactly what I would do if people had booed me on stage and someone asked about it, my pride would make me try and hide behind bravado and say "oh were they, I don't remember?" to play it down.

In other words, I think his was a very natural, human reaction, which makes me like him all the more!! He is a real person, with real feelings, and I think this is why some people warm to him.

Did that make any sense??!!!

It makes a lot of sense But I believe him when he says he didn't hear them, as they were at the back and Steve was at the front and there was a good reception there. As he said wherever you go, when playing places there will always be this type of thing and you just have to take it in your stride, it is part and parcel.

Indeed! That's a very good attitude to have!

50 Cent got booed off at Reading this year - I don't think he went down well at the sister-festival at Leeds either - I didn't stick around long enough to hear him as he was crap and I didn't want to waste valuable drinking time booing him.

Ironically I believe Kelly Osborne got her fair share of boos at either V or the Robbie Williams stadium gigs she supported at a couple of years back!

Maybe Steve is struggling with his songs through the sheer emotion, who knows? I remember Rowetta singing for the last time on the show she was voted out and she was almost overcome with emotion but she manage to get through the song and a lot of people thought it was an amazing performance. When Steve loses it, I wouldn't say it was adding to the quality or drama of his performance (though I wasn't keen on Rowetta's histrionics either). I do think that if you're setting yourself up as a professional, you prepare for your performances so as to avoid corpsing - Simon should be taking a lot of the blame though as his new little monkey has had some shaky moments during the series, so he really should have expected this and trained Steve accordingly to get him ready for it.
