COD MW2 & Black Ops down
is the ps3 servers down for these games as it says the servers are not available and they are really slow in the menus, MW3 is perfect and normal online

Yes. The data centre is in New York.
Some data centres in NY are having to manually lug buckets of diesel up 17 stories to manually fill generators! |

yeah thought so its the hurricane taken out the server
thought my ps3 was ****ing up, there problems are bigger than any of my problems so good luck to them all over there |

Power has been restored to the DC, so yes it is now working.

Black Ops is down again tonight. Was only back up online yesterday.

The data centres with the matchmaking servers for several of Activision's games are hosted on the US east coast.

I find it hard to believe a company like Activision with the vast amounts of profit they make from CoD doesn't have back up servers in case of failure at the main server. Especially as they went down the premium subscription route with the latest game in the series.
