I was thinking of buying a Nintendo DS for my cousins birthday she will be 8 years old and I don't have alot of money to spend on her so I just wanted to know how much it costs? And will it be great for a 8 year old girl?

The Nintendo DS is ~7 years old. Yes, it's good and there are plenty of excellent games out there, but it has been out for a long time and very few new games will be produced, now that its successor, the Nintendo 3DS, has been released.

However, if you're sure that she hasn't already got one and if you don't have a lot to spend, then a Nintendo DS is probably a good idea. You can probably get one on ebay or in a shop for relatively little and there is a huge variety of games to chose from such as New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs, Mario Kart and much more, all of which may not be too expensive due to their age.

If you're looking for something modern, then you should probably get a 3DS, but it will be lot more expensive.
