Ella has a strong enough fan base too see her go far in the competition.I think she will get to final, but i don't think she will make that final 2 slot!

I think it will be James Arthur vs Jahmene. Girls vote boys, they are going to get tons of votes. For Ella to win she would need to really pull out all the stops to stand a chance!

I like Ella, she has potential but she is becoming boring just as Lucy did. I don't see the X in her at all. I see Ella being in the last 3 standing, but not winning.

Seems the answer was no, like i thought. Great singer but didn't really appeal to anyone, her personality was too polished hard to connect with her.

The problem with Ella is that the producers just presented her to the public with "Here's Ella, She's a world class singer and she's only 16" and thought that would be enough for her to run away with the competition.

That's not how these shows work, and they made little or no attempt to give her a back story or show anything of her home life.

She's definitely an embarrassing failure for them as she was 100% their Plan A at the start of the series, and they seemed certain she would win easily.

I liked her. I didn't vote for her. I didn't vote for anyone.

She was my favourite but I didn't vote because I don't ever vote on this show.

She was my favourite too by a long way and I never vote! I can't wait to hear some more of her own songs, that one she sang at her audition blew me away, I really connected with her.

I was a huge fan at the start but I really went off her. I certainly stopped voting for her. I wonder if it was the fact that there were loads of people like me out there that went off her and stopped voting which put her in the bottom two. Rather than people thinking she was safe.

Be interesting when the voting stats come out to see if her votes tailed off.

You could be right. She never topped the vote according to voting leaks..was the whole reason i made this thread.

So if her popularity also went down maybe it was inevitable she'd begin to be in the bottom.

I voted for Union J this week. I have previously voted for James and Rylan as well as Ella (I voted for Rylan on his "Spice Girls" week because I was so entertained )

I tend to vote for my favourite of the week, so it changes. I've never voted Jahmene because although he is immensely talented he over eggs the pudding for my taste. Chris I would never vote for, he's just not my bag at all.

Rumour has it that's what happened : she was in third place or so in the early stages and then dropped down the placings in recent weeks.

Tulisa must have known this was coming, hence her "Ella is not safe" comment last week.....hardly something you'd say about a regular poll topper.

Agreed. I was surprised how strongly she was pulling that last week. Keep repeating PEOPLE MUST VOTE SHE IS NOT SAFE, never really seen that with a leading runner before at that stage. So her trend was probably a gradual decline.

And giving the game away that the judges know exactly how the voting is going of course.

Rumours say she only narrowly missed the bottom 2 for the last couple of weeks.

I wouldnt be surprised if that was true. I wonder how true the "Chris topping the votes most weeks by miles" rumours are. I hope they are false

I think they were true. All his fans figured he would be going those weeks voted like crazy. With a lot less people voting overall he probably ended up topping the votes.

I like Ella very much and will wait to see if she brings anything out then buy it, I want to hear what she has written

I dont even think winning helps an act now

I think people who dont get though to the end are better off by not winning (well it seems to me that they are)

Thanks, I'm sure she's going to do just fine now she's been voted off. She has clearly got a lot of raw musical talent. Like I said, can't wait to hear some more of her own stuff.

She was over-rated and two of her performances during the series were abysmal.

To be honest there was nothing interesting about her and did I think she was the next big star? ...No!
