Mustard in macaroni cheese!! Yay or Nay?
I personally think it ruins it. But a lot of people I know prefer it with mustard. I'm intrigued to see what others think?

As others have said, yes, it enhances the flavour of the cheese. Just a little needs to be used, it won't give a 'mustardy' taste.

Total yay! And I vary the mustard depending on the mix of cheese I use. English mustard with sweeter cheeses like Jarlesberg and mellower mustard like Dijon when I use cheddar...
Sometimes I put a little marmite in as well. Brings out the umami! |

Just enough to enhance the cheese if you can taste the mustard you have added too much.

I've never tried mustard but will give it a go next time!
Adding pesto sauce works really well too. My Mum used to make it with bacon and spinach when I was a kid. |

I use a tiny bit of mustard powder and some worcestershire sauce. I once used a bit of that squirty hotdog mustard and it was horrible, far too strong and made the macaroni look like something out of packet, it was so yellow
