I don't see why a) Ste would STILL marry Doug after he finds out the stuff about him trying to get Brendan locked up before the wedding. I think that's ludicrous and b) Why oh why would Brendan ever confess to murdering Danny to Doug. Doug wasn't even around then.

Eh they're dragging out the "triangle" for a long as humanly possible which is unbearable considering it doesn't work. Moaning aside, I'll put up with it.

I can't form any other coherent thoughts right now. Gah.

So not only was the proposal based on insecurities and doubts, the pushing forward the date of the wedding for a bizarre reason, Ste's doubts and guilt about his feelings and we now have all this extra stuff he finds out about Doug. You'd think he'd taken a hit to the head before the nuptials. It's insane.

No wonder ES said we have to "invest" in Stug. You'd have to be pretty "invested" (read: something else entirely) to buy Ste would ever go through with this BS.

Well, that's all very ... eventful. And incredibly soapy. And not really believable from a character POV, but then none of the "triangle" has been. More crash bang boom than insightful development. Oh well, just gotta roll with it I guess.

Think I feel the same as everyone else. Fancy bringing Danny up now - that story was dead and buried, literally, 18 months ago! And Ste still thinks he would he happy with Doug? Really? After all the deceptions and rows and unhappiness? The boy must be braindead, except I know he's not. And then after all this, Ste even goes to the airport with him? What tosh.

I'll go back to staring at cross pictures.

I hve the feeling that Brendan doesn't confess it to Doug, because they say it's caught on video. Had it been an audio recording I'd be more likely to believe it, but how can you sneak filming someone on your cellphone while talking to them?! You can't.

I wonder if he and Ste are talking or something & Doug films it but then what is this "truth" that Ste finds out about Brendan. It can't be bad cos then he wouldn't blow his top at Doug after he finds the video. It's all quite confusing but I hope it all makes sense on screen. But I can't believe Ste still marries Doug after he finds out what he's been upto, that is a joke & I think the soaps first civil partnership is wasted on them.
And I really hope that Doug's phone is destroyed in the explosion or Ste deletes it as soon as he sees it.

Well Im not going to say a word about Ste marrying Doug after that but Brendan, oh lets just trash him as a character in the process. as if he would ever admit to killing Danny to Doug

Im mean its going to be a conversation over how much they love Ste and Brendan will quite obviously say he killed for him but jesus he would never in a million years tell Doug.

I don't understand either how Ste's angry at Doug after the wedding when the row comes before and he still marries him makes no sense.

Ste finds him and Shawnee before the wedding plotting, hes angry but marries him because he loves him anyway but after the wedding he then finds the filmed confession and thats what proper ends them. Although of course it doesnt

Unless of course he goes to the airport to get back at Doug, dumps him there and already has Dublin planned.

But that's what they did in Jubilee week as well, when he allowed himself to be cheated out of the cash. It's pure plot contrivance, not anything Brendan would actually do.

I was hoping for something better, because the Lynsey stuff and Later were so brilliantly storylined and written, but looks like the show hasn't changed as much as I thought it had. It makes me grind my teeth, because I really need the Brendan/Ste stuff to be well-written to work, and this is just schlock really.

He finds out that Doug has been plotting with Shawnee first and still marries him but then finds a video on Dougs phone of Brendan confessing to Danny's murder and then let's rip at him. So even though they were getting married Doug still went through with his plan to get Brendan put away. I guess this is the "Doug can't let to of the past" spoiler.

At least we know the recording will probably be deleted. My biggest fear was Doug getting something and giving it over to Shawnee. I guess he can say his phone got destroyed in the crash?

Maybe after him and Doug row, Ste goes to see Brendan. Doug follows and maybe records. And to get Ste to take the 'safe' option, Brendan lists all things bad he has done to/for Ste. That's why we get Danny mentions.

This isnt even about Ste and Brendan, its all about Doug and thats what gets my back up. Him turning up at the wedding proud of whats hes done

I mean why in gods earth would Brendan admit to killing Danny. If I was Brendan and he wont do it I would say well if you take me down Doug I will take Ste down with me because guess what he knew all about it and said nothing.

I just hope the Pa stuff is as well storylined as later was. thats whats important to me now. And i will seriously cut a bitch if Doug is anywhere near that storyline

Thats a possibility I guess. Make more sense as to how he records it on his phone and also how angry that would make Ste.

Hmm not sure what to make of the spoilers?! Seems pointless actually marrying off Stug even if it doesn't last!

I suppose it might not be as clear cut as Brendan just telling Doug. It's still the Ste and Doug marrying stuff that makes me groan.

Am I right in thinking any previous sympathy for doug has now dissipated?
