No, definitely not.
Well I for one am disappointed. I was very much looking forward to Ste's psychic coma dream abilities (what with John Paul being part of Dublin and all) Here was me thinking it was quite the original storyline... |

Maybe Doug will finally meet Chip the Nurse, Ayla, when Ste's in his coma. With someone else to possess, he might not slit his wrists at the airport.

There's a few comments on ESF circulating around the possibility that the Dublin scenes are all part of a Ste-in-coma dream.
![]() We're not buying this are we..? (Someone put my mind at rest please) Only film I can think of that would fit as a sort of 'what if' film that is christmassy is 'The Family Man'. Maybe JP is "Cash", being a weird supernatural person who can send people between different universes would be something never seen in a soap before ![]() Maybe a bit too silly even for Hollyoaks. I obviously hope that it's all "real" ![]()

If I pop in at random intervals and shout "DOUG!" as a show of solidarity, would that help?
*gets thrown down the stairs while screaming, 'I love Brendan too! I love brendan tooooooo!!"* ![]() I don't blame people for being angry with him, I just feel somewhere down the line it'll be okay. And it's not gonna end well for him

I apologise if this has been said but I don't have time to read back
![]() After reading Kieron's interview again I feel like the chain of events leading up to the wedding don't add up according to Kieron, Ste already had doubts about marrying Doug, then he has even more doubts when he finds out what he's up to, but he marries him anyway and is then 'happy' that he's married Doug until seeing the footage on Doug's phone. So what I want to know is, what happened in the period of time that Ste and Doug fell out, to them getting 'happily' married that convinced Ste to do it? As I don't buy that 'He's in love with Doug, and didn't want to throw it all away' Here's what I think happens, after Ste finds out about Doug and Shawnee they argue and ste storms out, he will bump into/find Brendan probs at chez chez and they'll start talking, they'll get onto the subject of the wedding and Ste will tell Brendan that he has doubts over marrying Doug, they'll start talking about love, and no doubt thats how they get onto the subject of Danny, obviously by this point Doug's turned up looking for Ste he hears what they are saying and records it, when he has what he needs he leaves them alone 'chuffed' with the info he's gotten hold off Ste at this point is thinking that Brendan mustn't love him anymore as he sat here telling him he has doubts on the morning of his wedding and Brendan isn't 'fighting' for him but telling him to do it, so Ste will think he's lost Brendan and so will settle for Doug, don't get me wrong I'm sure Ste does love Doug to a certain extent but I feel that if Brendan said dont marry him be with me, Ste would have done just that, but he didn't, so Ste throws himself into the wedding and seems all happy at the reception.I think this is, as others have said, how Doug gets the 'confession' but also why Ste marries Doug. I no I'm probably wrong, but it's the only way ill cope with Ste still marrying Doug

No, not it's not ![]() I have to pop out but I can share my thoughts later, if necessary ![]() But as a note, I love Brendan and obviously that's why I'm upset this is happening to him, it's pretty awful. But I'm confident it'll go no further than Doug's phone, so I'm okay I think Just want this wedding stuff out of the way.

Oh, Hanni ... Brendan accepts he loves Ste tonight?! Quote:
Poor Chip. But no, I actually do feel sorry for PJ, by extension of feeling sorry for Kieron, really. This triangle's gotten PJ and Doug that higher profile, but in every other way it's been a ruinous waste. If you could go back to the beginning of the Stug friendship, what would you have done with Doug this year? I know you want his brother there for him, and just having seen OUaT, I still say the guy who plays Hook on it would have been perfect for the role. |

Hello All
Not sure what to think of the sequence of events, hurts my head trying to figure it out with all the different rewordings we've had. Obviously the main point for me is I'm annoyed Ste appears to happily get married to Doug even after he finds out what he's done.I think Ste will bump into Brendan, won't tell him what Doug's done but say he has doubts about the wedding and sacrficing his own feelings he'll tell him to marry Doug and probably that Doug's 'a good person' better than him anyway. This may explain why Brendan doesn't appear to try and stop the wedding if he's already given him up. |

I definitely think the confession of the murder must be Brendan telling Ste, Boom.
I think we might have to fanwank that Ste is choosing Doug as his second choice though. I don't know if they'll be a lot showing that. |

![]() Are we sure that he accepts his love for Ste tonight? I think tonight we're just gonna see him going on this religious retreat, and tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we'll get the Daisy scene. |

Coincidence?

I'm hoping Kieron's still just 'doing his job' for both ships in this interview, and it'll be noticeable in how it plays that Doug is this second choice. That might not be accurate though, as I don't think Ste considers Brendan an option anymore right now, but I'm sure it won't be like he's marrying Doug for love. It hasn't felt and seemed about love at all onscreen since they got together.
I have no doubt that the show still wants us to think that Ste is in love with both men (although they stopped selling Stug as true love ages ago), but I find it really difficult to believe that after they treated each other like shit for months. I mean, Ste barely noticed Doug's absence when he was gone And let's not even mention all the times they lied to each other/went behind each other's back. Like I said, they're a joke, and that's why I'm not upset by the spoilers/recent eps. I just feel a little offended because they're making both Ste and Doug look like two bipolar psychos for the sake of the drama, and we're supposed to buy it because OMG EPIC FALLOUT AFTER THE WEDDING!!!!!1111 ETA: Oh, thank you Ready!
