Having looked at that gif this morning, I'd say it was fairly deliberately ambiguous - he looks mildly concerned, but not wildly. I can see why - they're going to hold right back on any solid suggestion that Ste might turn back to Brendan until the very last minute, because of the OMG factor. So in the mean time, it's full speed ahead with the Stuggy delphinium wedding.
I just find it so jarring because it turns Ste, Doug and Cheryl into plot devices, and after this week, Ste deserves so much better than that. But oh well.In the mean time, I just want to hug Brendan really. Poor, poor guy. ![]() Next week is going to be a heart-breaker for him. Should he also wish to continue to be topless, that would soften the blow, obviously.![]() BIB - 'There, there Brendan...' *hand touches his silky soft skin* ![]() Quote:
I definitely think Ste wants it at the moment. I think he buried any doubts when he said 'I don't want to be the type of person who has doubts.' I don't think doubts can be buried for long though so I think they will surface either on the Wedding day or in the days running up to the Wedding.
It is slightly annoying Ste seems to want to get married now, but I guess it was expected ![]() BH

I know hun, I saw that - so glad that you've come out of the other side of it
![]() I find Ruby the hardest to watch, she just does not seem to get it at all - what they're doing to Esther - she needs one big wake up call. I absolutely detest Ruby now, because she's supposed to be Esther's friend, and Esther stood by her when no one else gave a damn. It's really unforgivable. Whereas I've always pretty much loathed Maddie and Sinead, they're just vile. I wonder where they're going with it, but I hope it's somewhere really life-affirming for Esther, and I hope they get rid of a whole bunch of the bullies. |

Truth be told I am kinda glad (well not glad) that I went through that because of how I recovered it made me a better person and made me see the world in whole different aspect and it made me want to live my life how I want to live it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Too right, what's the point in life if you ain't going to live and live on your terms, I say ![]() ETA - all of what c&s said. Get Esther off to uni, becoming a designer, living her dreams. Leave those lot to wallow in their own sh*t |

Just makes me wonder what it is exactly that makes him finally fess up to the fact he's in love with Brendan still
![]() BIB - 'There, there Brendan...' *hand touches his silky soft skin* ![]() And he will rush to Dublin and put his hands all over Brendan's silky soft and hairy skin, and they will both be really really happy. Oh dear ... I've ... got something in my eye. ![]() ![]()

BIB - this bit made me smoile. In true HO fashion the plot hammer dealt a swift blow didn't it. Sometimes I wish they were subtle, other times I think just get the f*ck to Dublin will you! ![]() BIB: I think this about 90% of the time. The other 10% I spend wondering how they're going to get to Dublin . I'm finding it hard to wait at the moment because they're not giving Brendan much to hope for really! Why he doesn't just go ahead and end it all is a wonder to me at the moment! He's got Cheryl, but she's planning the Wedding of the love of his life to another man! Not a great force to have your side ![]() I just wish they'd throw him a bigger crumb from Ste...something to keep the poor bugger holding on! It seems like the moment he stepped out of Later he's just been pushed further and further down! BH |

I think it has to be the revelation about the cops. Well, that's what I'm thinking at the moment, that Ste will find out Doug got Brendan arrested, and will feel completely betrayed. He'll realise Doug isn't the perfect guy he's persuaded himself he is. And that'll be it, the scales will fall from Ste's eyes, and he'll realise it's Brendan he really loves. And he will rush to Dublin and put his hands all over Brendan's silky soft and hairy skin, and they will both be really really happy. Oh dear ... I've ... got something in my eye. ![]() ![]() ![]() Part of me thinks Ste will just leave Doug at the airport when he realizes he can't commit to him like that (depending on where they're supposed to be going.) Maybe he knows getting on the plane with him would mean there's no turning back. I do think it will be a kind of flashback to JP and Craig at the airport. I kind of like it if it is like that. I like the way HO's story lines kind of link and there's a little shout out to past scenes/couples. BH ETA: OK I think I'm wrong. I think it's the cops thing that makes Ste leave Doug. It's too underhanded for him to ever get over and it will also make him realize what a gross injustice has been done to Brendan and that Brendan really was just trying to be better. |

Because it's cold and I don't want to remove myself from my duvet I'm just reading other threads on here. I don't want to comment in them because I'm scared, but some people are really dumb aren't they? Without being horrible.
Like, not in a clouded vision, because you love a character, but because they really believe soap logic in real life would be a good idea. Oh, and Dublin makes me happy, still. Just think, this time next week, we'll be rushing the weekend a long because Monday we'll have found out who is dead and what Doug/Brendan/Ste future is! |

That would be enough to make him realise the mistake he's made.
Its funny because in my drama class there is only 8 people in it and we have all become quite close even though we not actually friends but this year we all had a bad patch and we have been there for each other one of them went trough a similar ordeal as me (without bulling), I had a breakdown in the middle of the year and freaked out that i was returning to my year 10 self 3 years back but I managed it in a week now I am fine 3 of them had family members in hospital and etc.I also pleased about drama at them moment as I got 3rd in class
BIB - go you! Oh, Stephen. I'm still not sure, but I do think it might be linked to a moment of revelation after the crash that life, yes is too short, but it's Brendan he wants. We'll see - I get a poorly head if I think too much about it and have to lie down in my eye mask.
I have a Dublin fic brewing, I woke up yesterday dreaming the first part - it was really, really noice. The thing is if Ste's epiphany is that he doesn't want to be with Doug then why does he try to keep holding onto the marriage for a few weeks after? I know we don't know this for a fact but if he's seeing Doug off at the airport, would they really be on good terms if they weren't going somewhere together? It seems like Ste leaves Doug at the airport or something to that effect.
BH ![]() Well, I don't like to say it, but could he be with him and secretly planning a horrible way of dumping him? So he waits for the maximum impact - 'Yeah Doug, I'm leaving you. You thought you could control me, eh? Well, I ain't yours to control!' Won't happen of course, so I got nothing |

Hmmm when is Ste's epiphany set to happen? BH Well, lets throw it in the 'possibility pot' shall we, it's as plausible as everything else I think I would like Ste to go all bitch-sass on Doug. Gawd, imagine it you find out that the person you married got your ex put in prison just to keep you apart! That's not ending well, Dougie boy

I can't wait to see the look on Ste's face when he realizes what Doug has been up to. I'm also kinda dreading it in equal measure cause he's probably gonna forgive him

And what does he see on the other side, Brendan who has stepped aside, let him go... yep, I think I am maybe seeing where this is leading ![]() ETA - and Doug will say something soapy like 'there was always 3 of us in this relationship '
