Its very yummy, and goes with anything..Having it tonight with a pasty
( i boil potatoes and the carrot together, then mash the whole lot together )..plus your getting two veggies same time, and you could do this for kids that are fussy

Love all types of root mash. Pastry and potatoes on the same plate is just one too many carb item for me though. Hope you enjoy your dinner though.

Carrot, swede, parsnip and potato mash on shepherd's or cottage pie. Yummy.
Clapshot, as they call it in Scotland. |

Not often but I have. Usually if buying an order and get a free one or when making my own and have dough left over to make a small garlic bread.
I like variety in flavours so will often get a half/half toppings pizza. The garlic bread is another flavour option. |

I mash up carrots and potato, but it only counts as one veg. Potatoes don't count.

When I have a glut of turnips, I mash some of those in with the potatoes.
In fact, you could have a whole host of root veggies mashed together - parsnips, carrots, swedes, turnips, potatoes. A bit of butter, pepper and/or some Tewekesbury mustard and it is really lovely. |

My mum used to make this when I was a kid. Except the carrots were not mashed too, just boiled in little chunks and mixed in later. I still liked it.
