I obtained a “refurbished” Bush 320HDPVR from eBay but it had a couple of issues and was replaced… by another box with exactly the same issues - so I suspect they may be firmware related.
The issues are
1. Settings are not saved and once the box goes into low power standby, or the power is removed, it insists on doing a new installation at the next power-up
2. The EPG isn’t downloaded.
The firmware version on both boxes is v1.36(UK-v1.36) project_amber-2012-06-01-11-13-44. Can anyone advise what the current version is? Also is it available for download and upgrade via USB as there doesn’t seem to be an OTA upgrade scheduled for this box? The box is a badged Vestel T7650.

Any information/help appreciated.

IMHO the most sensible option is to get a refund

Only Humax ever seemed to get a decent Freesat PVR out - I'd suggest the same as mac2708 and just get a refund and it will never be great.

Is this a B320HDPVR 320GB Freeview HD Digital TV Recorder?

But, as said before, why bother - send it back for a refund without further delay.

It's being picked up today for return. I don't think it's worth the hassle even at the price I got it for! It's a pity really because it produces cracking pictures and is really responsive - unlike some that I have seen.
