I just wonder if any of the finalists read anything wrote here? Some threads can be rather blunt and nasty.

Why? everyone has opinions.. if you go out looking for them then you can't expect everyone to like you.

It is like when you go ear wigging, if you ear wig you are bound to hear something you don't like. Best not to ear wig in the first place if you can't handle the fact that some people may not like you all of the time.

In the last series Kitty posted here, I think it was proven to genuinely be her.

Apparently Steve Brookstein posted on here for a while and said some things, Rowetta also used to post here for a while....and Kitty came here from last year and posted a couple of times. And I'm almost certain there have been other contestants on here, most likely disguised.

In a way James is right. It must be terrible to read some of the nasty comments when you're looking for a big break with their career. The producers have to take a bit of that blame too with weird stunts and god knows what.
But in fairness to some of the acts, their live singing is better than some big act names who sing live. I heard so called superstars live and it would make you cringe.
Maybe we should say good luck to them after Rylan goes of course lol

Ah yes, I remember Steve Brookstein was a particularly bitter ex-contestant.

Maybe if Jermaine Douglas is reading, do a Christian Christmas type song as it could do well coming up at Christmas. No harm in that!

I wouldn't go so far as to say the contestants deserve the things said about them on here, as some posters/threads can be unnecessarily nasty and personal, but if you voluntarily enter into a reality TV talent show you have to expect compliments and support from some and critical or cruel remarks from others. If you put yourself out there to be judged, you will be.

I'm sure Justin/Justine used to post a few years ago (auditioned as a man, Louis suggested he came back as a woman)

Also Vickee who ran the Mad About Louis club (I think her user name was Mrs Walsh - she lived in hope

And he said people on DS are "fools" "negative lowlifes" "disgustingly ignorant" "w**kers with no lives" and should apprently be "locked up"

So not an over the top reaction at all.

Personally I have not warmed to the guy, there is something of the night about him, but then when you see his sour faced miserable expressions and his constant eying up of the female dancers whilst he is performing then its no surpise really.

I know what you're saying with the critical and compliments. I think i was a bit too critical myself and got carried away at times. It was the Rylan thing that got me when others went out. Maybe i could be proved wrong this week with him.

Steve Brookstein's posts were really homophobic. I could forgive him being bitter about the way his career went but I couldn't understand why he was calling everyone "shirtlifters" and "benders" just because they disagreed with him.

It was disappointing because I had always given him the benefit of the doubt up until that point.

James had a valid point though. Some people on here are incredibly cruel about how he looks especially, and how the other contestants look too. The contestants are putting themselves out there to be critiqued on their music not on their looks. Then when people start calling them horrible or arrogant or whatever name under the sun.

A lot of the contestants are teens to twenties, as a woman in my twenties myself, I'd be pretty peeved if people who'd never met me where calling me ugly and stuck up or whatever.

However, I think it would be cool, if some of the contestants saw the nicer Song suggestions threads as it'd show us how we see them as a artist and we might even get any covers on YouTube out of it

Life's probably too busy for the constants and they wouldn't be reading here anyway? But if they are. Lucy don't you dare walk away!

I think that's all it is sometimes, people getting carried away with how strongly they feel for or against certain contestants in the heat of the competition.
