Will be in the the final, but middle of the road stands much higher chance of winning.

They've brought Ella down midseries as expected, boosted James. Jahmene still on his journey. Both Ella and Jahmene would stand more chance in the final where more casual votes come into play.

I find him rather uncomfortable to watch (especially without the guitar), but if I close my eyes and listen to the vocals I agree he's very good

I don't think we'll be seeing him in the bottom two

I've said before that he's got a lot of celeb as well as public support. He should be the favourite.

There's an older demographic who aren't active online (think of all the Maloney voters who are keeping him in)....i think that James is a bit too divisive to win but he'll definitely get to the final.

I tried that and it didn't help a bit. I think it's that to me he's a sham X Factor counterpart of various musicians I actually value, whereas the main reason for my watching the show is the way an occasional performer will grant me entry into a style of music that's nowhere near my established fields of listening at all.

But, yes. I can see him making the final, perhaps by way of being saved once or twice given that he's a credible musician and all, but not winning. Winners so far are always performers the extensive audience of casual viewers is mostly comfortable with, and he's not one of those. Most of the time I'm on the side of less comfortable performers, then most of the time I can see that they've more to recommend them than just not being comfortable, which on its own isn't nearly enough to satisfy, indeed is perfectly useless.

Then, very evidently other folks are finding something of worth.

I don't recall him passing it off as his own - most people would know that was Marilyn Manson's version. Where does it say in the rules they have to do the original?

He's my favourite along with Kye. I hope he wins, he's very good really. If he and Kye go out then I'll be backing Rylan and then not watching anymore. There's nobody else decent on the show this year.

Difference is, nobody would have guessed how "credible" Matt was if he hadn't let us know through interviews and suchlike. With James, for better or worse his sense of credibility is right there in the act

Marliyn Manson is an very famous artist. His version of Sweet Dreams is very, very well known. Just because James sang Marilyns version instead of the Eurthymics does not mean he 'stole' it.
James did not say he wrote it.

If you're talking about ISAIKI; James credited Noah on his twitter and like he said, the video had over 13,000,000 hits before James even sang it.

Do you really want a contestant to say which artists version they're covering every time? Because that might take a while. What if someone sings Sway or something with two dozen or more covers?

I really like James his voice is amazing.
I don't know how he's not liked he seems like a shy guy which might be why.

A lot of people have mistaken his introverted nature for aloof and arrogance which as a shame. He honestly seems like a nice guy and one of the few genuine people left.

I think it's easily between James, Ella and jahmene. The only worry is that James is peaking at the moment. He'll have to continue to improve otherwise his votes will drop slightly.

James is most definitely my favourite. As a previous poster said, close your eyes, listen to his vocals and you'll see that he's very good

Although I prefer to look at him too

I like James and think his voice is unique and different from most people we had on X Factor before, but I would like Jahmene to win, Ella Second and James third. He is a contender for the final for sure though.
