Everyone always talks about Tulisa going, Gary leaving or Nicole staying for a year.

However surely Louis time must be up.

He only chases the boyband dream or gets lumbered with the overs.

He also has his 5 or 6 stock phrases that utters after every performance

Louis is my favourite judge - he is more X Factor than Simon at this point.

Because he knows just how many skeletons are rattling around in the closet and could be a danger if set free.

There's probably more truth to that than you think, there's got to be some reason the pointless cretin is there - with his stock phrases - year in, year out.

I think you are probably correct in this. Louis has been working in the music industry for over 30 years, he knows where the bodies are buried He won't be going anywhere unless he decides to call it quits.

Yes I think Louis definitely knows where the bodies are buried, so to speak.

But to be fair to him, while he's neither use nor ornament, I'd miss him if he wasn't there full of inane, embarrassing comments and not much of an opinion.

Remember when he was sacked and we were left with Brian Friedman? Look how that turned out.

I think most people are just resigned to the fact that Louis will always be a judge.

He is a charity case. Not a worthy one either. Only SC will employ him.

Louis is like the furniture, he's harmless and part of the scenery.

"Why does no one ever talk of Louis Walsh being sacked."

I thought he was at one time?

Then, it was all over the papers..and then, he came back..and so began the never ending barrage of staged publicity stunts, which continue to this day..and with every banner, "exclusive," headline, with each passing series, a number of people are drawn into this world and actually believe the stuff.

I wonder how many people the morning after Gary Barlow "walked out," were seriously discussing it the next morning over their coffee breaks..

There's bound to be at least one more "shocker," before the end of this series..

Maybe Louis will get the sack..some of us live in eternal hope.

Rich

Sack Louis and the show is over as far as I'm concerned. He's part of the furniture and should remain there until the show ends.

It wasn't right when he was sacked in series four and it certainly wouldn't be now.

Louis has been there from the start and is a massive part of why it reached the heights it did (sending Maria home over The Conways, Jedward, Wagner, feuds/friendships with other judges etc). Amongst all of that, he's found G4 and JLS- two of the most successful bands post-X Factor, and many of his acts have gone on to have a big career in the West End.

The shows where Louis has been missing, e.g. the auditions in series 4 and the live shows in series 6 have been completely lifeless. He might just be the out of touch old man sat at the end of the panel and will still be on the panel after the apocalypse judging the cockroaches, but he is a massive part of X Factor and doesn't quite get the credit he deserves.

He might be one of the Mods on here and deletes threads about him being sacked before they go up...?

Because it would be really dull without Louis Walsh. L.A.Reid for instance doesn't provide the American version with the same cheesy mannerisms that Louis or Randy Jackson gives on American Idol etc.

People who complain about Gary really shouldn't be asking for Mr Walsh to depart.
