Could Lucy audition for BGT now?
She should have auditioned for BGT in the first place, so you think she'll audition for the next series and should she?

No, she shouldn't, imo.
She's done what she needed, she's got herself onto a huge platform to promote herself, gain a legion of fans and now she needs to focus on her career. Doing BGT would be silly, she doesn't need it. |

Why should she need to?
She has been showcased on the X-Factor and I've no doubt that there are plans afoot to give her a recording contract and promote her career. She is one of the contestants who made it to the live shows, that would have been head hunted to audition in the first place. |

I'm with other posters, her career is well and truly launched now and she doesn't need to try out for another platform that's there to discover new talent.
Still can't for the life of me see why XF was the wrong show for her. She needed the exposure, the show benefits from variety, and there was enough public interest and support to vote her back in week by week. Like a few other Lucy fans who have posted here I might well never have come across her if she'd been on BGT, as a mix of performers including dance troupes, comedians and assorted novelty acts is more than my patience can stand. |

No point, she would be beaten by a performing dog anyway

Singers on shows like BGT annoys me.
To me, that's what The X Factor is for, and now the voice. Leave the singing to those shows. When I watch BGT I want something unique and NOT a singing act. |

She doesn't need to audition for BGT, shes distinctive enough and could make it- as seen by her album sales after her initial audition. Its not as though shes another ballad singer with a raspy voice a la Jade, and will sink into obscurity. |

Even after her audition was shown, her songs reached the Top 10 on iTunes and Spotify, before the X Factor promptly took them down.
I think the show's given her a fantastic amount of exposure and hopefully she'll do well out of it! |

I personally think we will not hear much of her again, save falling out of night clubs etc.
She is not mass market enough, her ditties are OK but Victoria Wood did the originals years ago. When she tries to sing other stuff, she cannot (as proven on XFactor). |

Her career should have been launched ages ago, if she was going to be successful. She's already had opportunities through support for quite major acts, and still hasn't made it
Lucy's singular enough that it's hard to name a particular well-known performer on the circuit and say that their fans will warm to her. The evidence of her potential popularity is there - a top 10 single on itunes and 5000 albums sold within a couple of days of her first audition being televised. Two thousand Twitter followers, was it, after three years of regular gigging, becoming a hundred thousand soon after that first appearance. She's not the stuff international superstars are made of (for which relief much thanks, say I, there aren't many of those I value), but she'll probably be able to spend her time now making music rather than selling photos on the street
