With Lucy bowing out, do you think Lucy's voters will now switch alliegance to her best mate Rylan instead?

I actually think he could benefit from her departure, votes wise.

I doubt it, but Rylan could pick up a few sympathy votes. I wonder if he will be expected to stay in the new hotel on his on now, or if they will allow him to return to the main one.

Edit: My post doesn't sound like I am a rylan fan- I am.

I'm voting Rylan now Lucy has gone

Not because of their friendship, though I adore their friendship, haha. But because I genuinely like him and he's the only act left I really like.

Though, from my twitter timeline, #TeamSprylan is going round, and fans of Lucy are tweeting saying they're voting for Rylan because of 'Sprylan' so, I do think you're right.

May help keep him in a while. In the first week I voted for Lucy, Melanie and Rylan: I expect I'll put a few more votes his way now my efforts won't be divided any more. Even without their friendship I'd guess Lucy's fans are more likely to enjoy Rylan's performances than to warm to any of the other acts.

Yeah I thought this too. Lucy may not have been the strongest vocally (like Rylan). but she had personality and humour (like Rylan).

I think people drawn to her style might also appreciate Rylan's quirkiness in the same way. Same people might just not be as drawn to the 'power' vocalists. I do think the fact they became good friends wouldn't do him any harm either though

Sadly, I agree, I am only watching this farce because of Rylan..I couldn't give two hoots about the other mediocre acts, Rylan is by far the most interesting in a strange way. He at least seems to have a passion and wants to have a bit of fun, the others are just the usual fodder that go thought the X factor machine. Go,go go Rylan.

I agree about mediocre acts.
It's so boring this show.

MK1 brought something different that I loved, as did Lucy [though I love all of her songs on youtube, her album etc] but she was so unique and amazingly talented. Rylan now is the only thing left making this show fun and in his own way, he's unique.

To me, every other act on the show is either, boring, talentless [imo] or overrated [Ella and Jahmene being perfect examples of overrated singers].

GO RYLAN

I don't know if voting works like that. I would have thought if your favourite goes out, you stop voting not vote for your second favourite.

I don't vote but if I did I'd only vote for Jahmene. I wouldn't vote for anyone else if he left.

For me, I vote for my favourite; Lucy.

Now she's gone, I'll vote for someone else I like, but only like.. once. Which is nothing compared to the amount of votes Lucy got from me each week. LOL

I hope so. If the only remotely credible person on there is out, you may as well just try to subvert the whole thing.

I agree with the above, what this about Lucy going? I hadn't seen anything, but strangely enough, I had said last week, I hoped she was not 'recovered' and had to leave. (No offense to her, I just didn't see her as being versatile enough to be a winner, and I'm not very keen on 'talky style' singing)

Rylan to win (Simon's face if he does......)

I hope not. I hate how the show has turned into a popularity show, rather than a talent show.

I like Rylan well enough, but he is not as talented as most of the others, and for every week he stays in a more talented artist has to leave.

I would rather someone created a popularity show where people can enter and be voted on their personality, entertainment value, then I wouldn't have to watch it.

I like to see someone who is genuinely talented, get recognised and get a chance at making a career in the music industry. A talent show should remain a talent show and should not be hijacked by teen boys, with cute faces and curly hair that appeal to the teen girls or anyone getting the sympathy vote.
