jeez. not another one. get to the back of a very long queue. its a bit of an overfilled demographic around here. you need a USP to lift your expertise above the mundanity of all the rest of the experts. can you bark like a seal? that would do it, i think.

He was hit-and-miss with the lines (but some of them were lovely) so I think he deserved more than Craig's 4. He also captured the "SCD" Rumba emotion and deserved his '7s' and would have loved him to have got '7s' across-the board - which would have taken him up to 5th (above Lisa; which I think would have been fair).”

A well balanced approach to your critique!!!!! Thanks

Male pros doing rumba certainly have hip movements. They were subtle, not OTT at all. Even complete novices could see that that hip movements are a must in a rumba. You don't need excessive hip movements as if trying to shake off your poo, just SOME semblence of hip rotation.

Nicky, bless him, had NONE.

Even Mark Ramprakash, who did a disaster rumba in series 4, was miles better than Nicky in his attempt at this dance.

Nicky is not a natural dancer there is no flow to his movements no matter what he is dancing, he does it all by numbers which is why his dancing has that disconnected look to it. Where to start with his posture, his chin juts forward shortening his neck, which makes his whole posture collapse.

He doesn't seem to enjoy his dancing, it's a mistake made by a lot of beginners that want to 'learn to dance', they get all caught up in doing it right and forget that dancing should be primarily about the enjoyment of moving your body to the music, trying to feel the music and using the rhythms and flow to carry you along, without that you will never dance well.

Even if I believed you (and got over your horrendously rude post) I would still think you're not seeing things clearly. The little he was given to do wasn't very good and I'm afraid that's just the way I (and many others) see it.

Oh and I've been dancing since childhood too. Should we arrange to meet and have a dance-off? Winner gets your homemade Know-It-All crown?

But you said he was brilliant so surely there is no blame to take.

And there are more, but I shall stop here.”

I think you may be seeing what you want to see. Louis took,a,bit of a pasting this week, Lisa and Denise last week. All took it with good grace.

So even the best male celeb in SCD history struggled with rumba.

As I said good job Karen & Nicky.

kassie, I keep wondering what Nicky has to do to correct his posture. For me, it's his head and neck position primarily, but he also seems to hunch his shoulders.

I think on dwts this week, a judge said something like unless you can put emotion into your dancing it's just movement, so true I thought

Doesn't mean her opinion is any more valid than anyone else's though. Just like Arlene, she likes the fit young blokes.

He said something on ITT about having a goalie posture where you round your shoulders, jut your head forward and bounce on the balls of your feet with your knees bent and he did start like that but slowly his shoulders are getting back.

I thought Nicky's rumba was absolutely dire and Craig was (as usual) the only one to give fair criticism and marks. I sincerely hope the Westlife fans don't keep him in at the expense of anyone else, but sadly I can see them continuing to vote him in even though he is never going to be good enough to win.
