i think this years christmas day 2012 story is becoming obvious

we will see the reveal of kats lover
the lauren/joey affair reveal to family
dereks death although i can see that being new eve
possibly ricky return

anyone agree?

I like your thinking, dublinvfan. I think that the Lauren/Joey revea will be massive. I haven’t read many threads lately so please forgive me if I’m going over old ground. I was thinking about the Lauren/Joey thing.......and wonder if the secret is that Max is taking money to Alice and Joey’s Mum. And is it possible that Max is the father of Joey? Hmmmmm? If this has been discussed before, I would just crawl away.......and hide under a nice big stone.....until Chrimbo time!

im not sure, with max being tipped to be dereks killer i think derek wil reaveal his big secret to tanya and snap and go for lauren after he finds out the truth in a rage max kills him

I think Dereks death should be lead upto like this the Brannings have a Christmas dinner together on the 24th (because of the wedding on Christmas) with Derek, max, Tanya, Abi, Lauren, jack, Sharon, Denny, Oscar, joey and Alice there maybe carol as well, anyway Derek gets drunk and starts yelling at everyone, (like Glenda did) goes through everyone there mocking and abusing them and their past at the end he mocks Bradley and max hits him he promptly leaves walking away bumps into Michael with scarlett whose walking around the square with Alfie and Kat, reveals its him having the affair with Kat and abuses Michael (revealing as well their past) punches Michael, duff duff on Alfie being told about Kat.
Christmas day its a rehash of Archies death

Think you could be right apart from a Ricky return. They've already filmed Xmas scenes and Sid has been on Strictly (up until last week) and don't forget of course Sid recently said he's not going to go back to EE again! Yes and I'm Jennifer Aniston! As if he won't be back like a shot once his money starts running out!

Must admit I hope they don't do a whodunnit s/l with Derek's death though because it just smacks of a lack of ideas by the writers because the same thing happened at Xmas '09 with Archie! Fair enough they could print the suspects in the papers and mags leading up to it, but I hope we see on the night who kills him, and not have it dragged out for weeks with the suspects all acting suspicious a la the Kat shagger s/l

Oh what a surprise!! I actually hope they don't bring him back again because he's been really dismissive about EE, as if it's some sort of burden! It's really out of order when actors do that. Anne Kirkbride was at it today about Corrie. It's so ungrateful and makes my blood boil!

So no, they should tell him to f*** off and not ask him back again, because apart from Sid's attitude, the character of Ricky has ran his course now. The spineless boring wimp is well past his sell by date

I wish they would do something without telling us. Hollyoaks are good at keeping secrets. Eastenders should try to keep a storyline under wraps and then the viewers will be surprised. I would like to see Eastenders tackle anorexia and bulimna. Lucy would be a good character to do this with. I am saying Lucy not only because she is very thin but because she needs to have some more storylines.
