Literally ALL of the notes. Every one of them. In every performance. Has there ever been a more prolific oversinger on X Factor.

I thought there were some bum notes and some flat notes in his performance.

It was a great performance but not note perfect for me.

He still needs work. Needs to be more disciplined but could be great.

I have to cover my ears when he gets it wrong.
When he gets the song in tune, he's very very good. But he's nothing like consistent. When he's overexcited, he loses control of his voice and anything can happen. Sometimes that extemporaneous singing pays off, but tonight, no way. Most of tonight's performance was all over the place.
Let's just say, if he sung it again, it would hit a completely different collection of notes.

Agreed. He needs a tough singing coach to help him.

Totally agree. He would be ok if he toned the hell down. It's just too much.

I sometimes wonder if the judges write down what they are going to say about a performance the night before, and stick to that no matter what.

How they could heap praise on that performance is beyond me. How can they not hear all the out of tune notes and out of control singing?

It's getting ridiculous now. Yes, he could be great, but he certainly isn't yet by a long, long way.

The judges comments are getting on my nerves now, they couldn't be more positive about him but I don't enjoy his performances at all! Too many notes and his voice sounds screechy in places.

he doesn't hit the wrong notes. it's called harmony. he's a big gospel fan and it shows. he can sing the tune straight...and he can sing around the tune in a harmony of the main tune and then tie it all back together again. it's actually a technique. obviously unfamiliar to many DS posters

he would sound so much better if he stuck to the melody and stopped all that ear -piercing screechiness!

It doesn't matter if it's a technique , it's obviously not working for him for a lot of people.

Some of his notes were off key...simples. He tried very hard though.

Even Christina Aguilera doesn't do that much oversinging.

I sometimes wonder the same thing about DS posters...........

He was by a country mile the best tonight - and most other nights too. Ella puts far, far more embellishments to the melody but that's ENTIRELY ignored on here.

I think Jahmene is a very exciting young singer. He also seems like a sweet guy.

Harmony my arse

there is nothing harmonious about it

its just oversinging with excessive riffs, runs and falsettos

He also hits notes from other songs than the one he's singing.
