I predict this year could be another Leon Jackson/Joe McElderry flop year..
I can imagine Jahmene or Ella (or maybe Chris) winning and flopping into obscurity within the year because they aren't current or commercial enough as artists, despite having great voices.
Whereas James Arthur/Union J will come as runners up and do really well as they are easily marketable and have clear fan bases. Similarly for this reason I think Lucy Spraggen will do well. This fits in with previous years where commerciality trumps everything else. E.g -Alexandra wins... JLS runners up and doing much better. -Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson have great voices... But Cher Lloyd and 1D runners up have international success as they are more commercial -Joe McElderry has a better voice and wins... Olly Murs is much more commercial and does better -Leon Jackson wins.. Rhydian does better There are probably loads more examples! I can definitely see this happening again. |

He's the only X Factor winner I actively cared about winning. Sad how things go eh. |

I saw Leon Jackson a few weeks ago at a Cheryl Cole concert (ironically). I told him When You Believe was a tune.

What's happened to him anyway? What does he do? edit: It just shows how spoiled we were. Back then people used to say Leon wasn't a v.good singer. He shits on everyone on this year. Can't think of anyone this year he would produce a performance as good as his for his winning song. And it obviously meant the world to him which is also a rarity these days with all the premadonna's and famewhores. |

To be fair Little Mix are having success and so is Amelia. I think it'll be different this year. I have trust in Ella, Jahmene, James and MK1 who are the only ones realistically that can have a lot of success........assuming Simon doesn't f*ck things up like he usually does.

Ella will end up in the West End (that isn't a bad thing) and James Arthur will do well in album sales but I'm not sure about anyone else. I suspect with the way ratings are going, this year will be erased from history anyway, just like 2007 is. |

I really don't think any of the acts left will sell records. The winner will have one hit and that's it. No one else left brings anything new to the music scene.
Lucy may have some limited success. I wonder how well the tour will sell? I imagine not very |

why dont you vote for union j then?
... nah i dont want to see them sing every week either.. i could care less if the winner is a star if i did, i would have voted hard for leona, jls, olly, one direction and union j but i didnt because we all know real stars in pop and from xfactor are bad singers (except leona)

But I really don't get this idea of James being successful after the show. There's umpteen similar male solo acts around right now, and every last one of them is far more talented than he is. Many of them tick the other boxes he's missing too, like charisma, an engaging personality, confidence rather than arrogance, good looks, etc. And Lucy is never going to sell prolifically. |

Little Mix won last year. Them having minor success with their first album does not make them any different from every other winner. Everyone said the same about Alexandra when her album did well and I said give it two years and where is she now...? Where will Little Mix be...? Same place as every other winner (Leona being the only exception).

I'm shocked I'm saying this, I've never felt this way before - But our version (Australian X Factor) is ripping the UK version to threads this year.

I'm hoping Jahmene doesn't win this year so he can come back with a jazzy/retro/gospel album in the style of Rebecca Ferguson. Ella I think could do well if they get her image right, which I don't think they have done so far. Maloney won't win.

show has become too dull and predictable, watching it now makes me want to slash my wrists. needs a shake-up urgently, before it's taken off life-support.

Has she disappeared? erm...no...Does she still have recording contracts? Most definitely....so your point is....?
![]() My point is that just like every other winner (except Leona) she has dissapeared (flopped) after her first album. |
