Yes, I really enjoyed it - just stripped back singing with James playing the guitar. I hope Gary Barlow was watching it!

It's hardly a difficult song to sing though, is it? Most people could manage a passable rendition.

I really do hope he sings a full on ballad soon because his great voice must be showed off to the people who still think he can't sing.

Me neither. But that song is ideal for hiding inability. How often over the years have we seen an XF contestant who nails one song, but destroys everything else they're given or attempt?

This is only the 3rd series I've watched - the other 2 are last year and the year Rhydian was in it. I can't remember much from last year and Rhydian's the only person I can remember from the other series I watched!

Xtra Factor is usually repeated in Sunday afternoon I think. Not sure on the time.

Doesn't matter though as the song was a big hit so if Ryaln can sing that well and people enjoyed it he can make a successful record. He has always said he does not want to be the next mariah

I think XF and Xtra are both repeated Sunday afternoon.

It was a real eye opener, he has a sweet voice when he's not loosing breath jumping all over the stage. He is the only so called 'joke' act who I have ever liked on XF.

Of course it matters. He gave a passable rendition of a mere snatch of it. It doesn't follow that he'd be able to sustain the whole thing, whilst dressed as an ostrich and surrounded by a dozen hula hooping penguins. But even if he could accomplish that - and it's a big if - that's a track, not a record. And please - he'd kill to be Mariah.
