My post asked if 'ragged' was another word for bullying. As for " ..used as a whip against folk that don't share your opinion " don't interpret a post of mine so inaccurately to suit your own purposes. Why are you, telling me what is or isn't appropriate for this forum ? That's the moderators role. I'm not going to argue with you. All that does is encourage more of it.

Absolutely, I sometimes wonder how such sensitive flowers cope out there in the real world.

The only rather personally unkind remarks I've seen have all been directed at Denise. I have no problem with people criticising her dancing, or her experience or her dress or voice or whatever, but I think those who have hinted at dark deeds earlier on in her life cross a line. For certain she has endured far more than Victoria but we go back to the old chestnut of one is a real woman and the other one plays pampered Princess.

If you make a slightly critical remark about someone another poster thinks is wonderful, you can get personal insults thrown at you.
If you say you think there's a "little too much" of (whatever) someone is sure to say, "I s'ppose you'd only be happy if there were none at all!"
It's being presented with what I call, "a typical feast or famine alternative."

There's some on here who think "their role in life" is to protect people on TV from adverse comments from other licence payers. When if the truth be known those people on TV wouldn't really be bothered about their support.

Anyone can say anything they like about anything or anyone on TV, as far as I am concerned as long as it is within the board rules. I can never understand anyone worrying about my opinions when I'm not at all bothered if their opinions are the complete opposite to mine, why should I care?”

Great post. BIB is what i just don't understand, why do they care?

There were some pretty vicious ones posted last night about Victoria and removed by the Mods .

Well I obviously can't ask you to repeat them but I didn't see them.

Yes! as you suspected, I was just having a joke, as well as suggesting that it depends on your own viewpoint, doesn't it?.... can't stand smilies.

Yes, I always thought Denise to be a very 'precious' sort of person. *snigger*

Okay.

This better?

I do love Denise's dancing and that's my principal reason for watching the show, characters (with the exception of the wonderful Brendan) are somewhat irrelevant. But what I also like about Denise is she is a full-on, go-for-it real life woman whom I suspect has battled hard for what's she got. I can't stand the poor me stuff so I am not well disposed towards VP before she starts. We all have our things, and the spoilt pampered Princess who must be protected is a real bete noir for me, whether it's Victoria or Natalie (I'm a size ten) Cassidy.

well, for me, its a bit like if i were to be unfortunate enough to stumble across some feral teenagers, unwashed and covered in snot, cursing and spitting and dropping their litter in the street. i would challenge them for being an offence against, well, humanity.

hope that helps.

I wouldn't even bother to stop my car, certainly if I were driving through some areas.

This is broadcast to the nation. No publicity is BAD publicity.

I can 'bash' them if I feel the need. I can also praise where praise is due. Tess on the 'Sunday' show is very good. I thought Karen (new pro) was shown giving some EXCELLENT teaching points to Nicky last night. I could go on.

But I reserve the right to say I think VP is routinely overmarked. And Kristina's costumes are often too scanty. Bruce is past it.”

I agree Why should I help pay for new outfits for Tess for a 2nd show when it is filmed the same night.

I would love to think I would but I think I might chicken out if it was just for dropping litter. If they were attacking someone, then I'd pile in - and probably regret it later.

well yes. fortunately, i rarely come across such dreadful people in real life. thats why coming to the strictly board is so anthropologically interesting

Doesn't Tess get them supplied by different designers for the show and they have to go back afterwards?

I think she'd be better off looking in Primark or TK Max, rather than wear stuff that looks sometimes if it's come from a charity shop.

I find the second show so dire that I only tune in to see what Tess is wearing!

I think the OP has a point - especially since when I saw the title I thought it was a thread set up for just that: bashing people!

I don't particularly enjoy bashing people that much so didn't click on the thread until curiosity got the better of me.

I think that backs up her/his point that there is a fair bit of that on the Forum.
