Must watch it again .

I just wished he looked like he was loving the dance Flavia needs to get him some acting lessons or else pile him with alcohol to relax him ”

Just watched it. Bruno said it turned into Salsa not Len sorry.

This isn't quite on topic, it's just that SCD-O seems to remember it well or has watched again so might be able to answer this... or anyone else who saw...

Did anyone notice Louis shouting and gesturing to someone in the crowd -- in the seats alongside the Judges' table? What was that about?

I don't think Darcey mentioned about salsa moves, she was busy de-perving herself from Louis to say anything even remotely making sense. It was Bruno. But yes, Len was chuffed many recognisable samba steps were in it, and he was pointing out some error in his running promenade (sp?) and Louis shushed him. ”

Thanks - saves me looking for the VT

Craig lost it marking him the same as Victoria but the other judges evened out the total score.

Can`t wait to hear Craig`s reasoning on tomorrow nights ITT.

He was apologising after making a woman drool and melt, I think it was for his hips but Bruce made a joke about some woman over there and Louis pretended to say sorry.

Ah, ta Alli. I missed it entirely -- must have dropped a crisp or something while that was happening

Didn't notice that. Gives me an excuse to watch his dance again...

Considering what Craig gave Victoria for shaking like a leaf it makes no sense.

It continues to illustrate that Craig simply doesn't know what he is talking about! He throws in all the technical terms, as if to prove his expertise, but in a meaningless way.

Considering what Craig gave Michael for dancing brilliantly and in a totally different league to Louis, it makes perfect sense.

I thought Michael's posture was poor, he was all hunched over again and there was gapping.

I would also hardly call a 1 point difference a completely different league.

if you thought Michael danced that brilliantly then surely you'd be just as upset with the 7 as those complaining about Louis' 6?

Here's what is so great about this show. We see such different things! Craig only placed Michael 1 mark above Louis so not exactly a different league. I have nothing but praise for the amazing improvement we saw in Michael last week - and you can tell he is working damn hard on his dancing. But his posture was weak again, with him hunching over Natalie even though she was fully-arched away to compensate.

Not really seeing as Craig gave an 8 to Denise who was better still. A 10 point scale isn't very good at scoring the differentials in performance. All I am looking for the judges to do is rank the celebs as best they can in the right order - indeed I would much prefer that they simply ranked the celebs in order of merit after they have all danced rather than use an arbitrary scoring system immediately after they perform.

So you thought Victoria and Louis danced equally?

I'm desperately trying to remember what else he scored a 6 for, but I can't but I'm sure there were others, did he also score Lisa and Colin a 6?

No, I don't think that Victoria and Louis danced equally. I think that Louis danced a bit better than her but she had already been and gone by the time he danced. The 6 he gave her was fair comparative to say Richard and Erin (who he gave a 4).

If you have given Victoria 6 and Michael 7 what do you do with Louis who is better than Victoria and not as good as Michael, they don't have a 6.5.

This is why I would rather the judges rank the couples from 1st to 9th after everyone has danced. We wouldn't have any of this silly - how can that be a 10, it wasn't perfect, how can they possibly give anyone a 1, that's so mean - how is it fair that couple A and B both got a 6 when A was better than B....and you wouldn't have ties on the leaderboard either.

He was undermarked. My hat goes off to any bloke who can dance the silly samba and look cool while keeping a straight non-gurning face.

Darcey just chose some unfortunate words to say I'm not Arlene and I wasn't perving.

I am a score nerd so I write them down.

Craig scored as follows -

Denise 9
Kim 8
Dani 8
Michael 7
Lisa 7
Louis 6
Fern 6
Colin 6
Victoria 6
Nicky 4
Richard 3

The only ones where he was very much lower than the other judges were Louis & Nicky

Swap Lisa and Louis scores around and I would agree with Craig

Lisa did not deserve a 7

Yep, definitely undermarked. No way was Lisa better than Louis, imo.

I thought Louis' samba was fab. How clever was Flavia to choreograph a dance to fit his personality. Thought the "too cool for school" feel to the dance was great and made it really stand out.

Louis isn't going to become Richard Arnold overnight so Flavia has to work with what she's got - and I, for one, think she's doing a great job. So - in answer to the OP - I think he was definitely undermarked. It would have been 8s all round from me!

Thank goodness he is not Richard. IMO Lewis made Brendan's Samba moves look camper than a row of tents. Did seem to be somewhat strange in the marking and definitely way better than Victoria although over all the leaderboard positions were about right (swap Louis & Michael though).

When you see it like that it is totally ridiculous, Louis' samba was so much better than Victoria, Fern and Colin. Thank you Hun. I'll be interested to see what he has to say on ITT.

I also think Louis' samba was much better than Denise's cha cha last week that he gave a 7 for. But the others also gave 7s so she ended up scoring 1 point less than him.

But hey ho, it's done, he survived and its the waltz this week so hopefully it's a much better dance for him.

I can just about swallow Craig marking Lisa and Michael higher than Louis - he's a performance judge first and foremost, for all his remarks about technique, and if he enjoyed their performances more (although I didn't) then I'd expect higher marks as a result.

I can even just about handle him marking Pendledrama the same as Louis - the gold-decked showgirls and the cheesy table dancing have bags of Craig-appeal.

But marking FERN the same as Louis - and she danced after him as well - that I can't forgive.

Sorry, but I didn't enjoy Louis' samba at all. The moves he did on the stage looked very feminine & I couldn't see any double bounce. If they hadn't told me that it was a samba then I wouldn't have known it was meant to be one
