I thought it completely spoiled his performance having the audience shouting and cheering during the crescendo. If they want to applaud the dancers as well they could do both once the song's finished.

Here here
He was as usual fantastic, though the audience were a disgrace with the applause for the dancers during his performance. I presume off camera there was a guy with a CLAP board, and if that was true then the producers were a disgrace
We're talking about Andrea Bocelli here, right? I agree that he is one of the greatest singers in the world, but he returns to Strictly year after year and I think he fully appreciates the score. I.e. this is ultimaltely a show about dancing. I don't think he minds one little bit that he shares a platform with the dancers. He is one of the people that truly deserve the A-list celebrity label.
We were there when they pre- recorded Andre at an earlier show, initially we were disappointed that it was him, however, he was fantastic and having seen all the other dross they have churned out since, we were extremely lucky.
I agree 100%. I think the viewers were more upset about it (including myself) than the great man himself. I'm going to see him live next week and I am SO excited!
