ITV Player just tweeted this on Twitter

Apologies X Factor fans, we've had to remove last night's episode temporarily due to legal reasons, new version will be available soon
Just curious as to what the "legal reasons" were. Anyone got any ideas?

67 kids got scared during Christopher's performance thinking he was The Great Killing Pumpkin and their parents threatened to sue. In the new edit, Chris is replaced by a tape recorder with a wig.

I missed the show last night, have only seen the performances. What did they say about why Lucy was leaving? Or maybe there was something wrong with Union J's performance? Theirs was the only one that wasn't on the X factor website, also the only one not on the Youtube playlist.

Union J's performance wasn't added to the official site, i assuming it'll be something to do with it

They don't show ads on ITV Player episodes? They've also never done this before with TXF to my knowledge? It's usually the most watched show of the week on ITV Player so it must be pretty serious for them not to make it available.

You say that but they're pretty incompetent, sometimes it's not even been uploaded for a first time until Sunday night.

Union J's song wasn't uploaded to youtube or available on iTunes because of lyric changes so probably just that.

Union J changed the lyrics in their song so infringed the copyright

Union J then as others have explained! It's really nothing more dramatic than that.

Having watched Union J's performance I'm not sure why it would be because of them. I'm sure that song has been changed lyrically before and there was no trouble from it...I guess we'll see what the problem was depending on what they've cut from the show when they put it up.

Don't ask about Lucy guys, just don't! Please!

Rylan changed the lyrics to Gangham Style a couple of weeks ago and that was taken off repeats.

Not in DS world. Any slight deviation and it's all an insidious "cover up" ..

I'm sure copyright depends on the song though, and Love Story has been changed before on X Factor and there wasn't any problems.

May be the author of the song objected this time, but it was definitely for this reason.

changing lyrics in a song isn't an infringement of copyright
