Why Are People Here So Annoyed?
I'm really confused as to why people are so annoyed over what happened tonight. Is this everyone's first year watching the show? A joke act stays over a good act every single year. It's to be expected. My favourite this year was Jade, but it was obvious they'd never let her win and I know how the show works so when she went, I wasn't even surprised. It's an entertainment show first and foremost, dressed up as a talent show. I don't understand how people can even be shocked at what happened tonight. Do people actually take the show seriously anymore? Even if the show discovered the most talented act in the world and they were performing live each week, I still wouldn't be able to take it all seriously as the show changes artists. If it was really a talent show, then they would get to be themselves each week and perform whatever they want and not stick to these ridiculous themes. I actually found myself laughing tonight and realised that I now watch the show for a laugh to see how low Simon and the producers will go. Gary's comments last week to Tulisa are a perfect example. The entire show has become a hilarious shambles.

As usual the "joke" act will be remembered and the acts they defeated forgotten. Which says it all really.

Every year generally, jokes acts stay between week 5 and week 7 - I know Chico went to week 8. I was gutted about Jade as she was one of my favs but realistically I knew she won't win

I'm not annoyed, I think it's a scream..
And, much as I'd love to watch a proper singing contest on T.V. and debate the merits of the contestants in that scenario, it's never going to happen in this show and probably hasn't ever, in it's history.. The minute Gary Barlow made his comment, for the 2nd time in the series about it being decided on the best vocal performance, I was in no doubt that a big Sword was hanging directly over Kye's head.. Barlow, is either a sell out, playing along and laughing behind the scenes at how gullible some of the British public are, who actually buy this nonsense..or he's just bloody thick! ![]() Rich. x |

If people chose to watch this turd of a series, they really shouldn't complain when they get a whiff of s***

They are all joke acts in reality. I cringe when the judges call them 'artists'. They are just people with decent voices singing somebody elses songs. And in actual fact Rylan is pretty much as good as any of the other acts this year voice wise.

TBH It's a tv show so don't really give a toss who's booted or actually wins it

Rylan will be gone within the next couple of weeks. Kye was never going to win. Was sad to see Jade go out last week as I loved listening to her voice each week. I'm not annoyed and nor should anyone be as its only a TV show that is there to fill a few hours each weekend.

I'm not annoyed - it all seemed obviously scripted tonight and everything went to plan for them, they can't seem to hide it.

people take it way, way, too seriously. as prattattack points out, it just boils down to a few wannabe clones singing someone else's songs.
and it is just singing at the end of the day. its not life or death. |

It is only a TV show, anyone would think it was life or death that their favourite stays. No point having tantrums each week because you don't get your own way. Most of the winners last a year, or two, the ones who don't win sometimes get a single out and that's it. It is just a bit of nonsence to watch at the weekend.

There's more to life than X-Factor. You would think it was the end of the world with some of the threads!

Kye was my favourite this year, until recently when James overtook him. I'm not annoyed at all by what happened. I like Rylan as an entertainer and respect him for being a joke act and actually being able to sing.
I actually feel sorry for him, he clearly wanted to sing a ballad this week and he wasn't allowed and by what Nicole said on Xtra Factor he never will be. The show obviously wouldn't allow that because they must always have their joke performance. I think him not singing a ballad this week when he promised to last week did knock off votes for him and it why he was in the bottom two at all. As much as I loved Kye - he was not popular. |

I'm actually glad Rylan stayed, I find him more entertaining than Kye. Can't deny Kye was better in the sing off but that's proved fairly irrelevant a factor in the judges decision making anyway so it's kind of a moot point. Did feel kinda bad for Kye, but that's X-Factor for you, you take a chance, roll the dice and hope you get lucky.
![]() No idea why people would be annoyed, it's not like we haven't seen this same scenario played out so many times before.
