It's ok. I like it sliced in a bun with salad cream.

As a snack I prefer Herta frankfurters.

It's alright...........I sometimes have it in a butty with mustard

But it's one of those things that's always a let down when you have one because ready to eat smoked sausage should be so much nicer than what matteson's is...............

Disgusting, processed crap, I wouldn't eat it if I was paid and actually mean that!!!

It's just like spam to me.

Same goes for hot dogs.

Anyone remember the advert "Hmmmmm Mattersons".

True. It's nice to see that my local supermarkets are now getting in some more authentic smoked sausages.

I know it's junk but we love it occasionally. We put it in stew with various beans and tomato, or in a pasta sauce, or "spanish" omlette

I was tempted to buy the 'light' version at the weekend - £1 in Asda, but the fat content was still horrific!

I buy the Lidl bockwurst. Delicious. Massive packs for cheap. Sure it's full of crap - doesn't bother me. I take the label omnivore very seriously.

A tasty and cheap curry is baked bean, smoked sausage and onion.

I didn't mind it sliced on to pizza until it had a tiny bit of bone in it. Tried it again recently and the same thing. I know where this stuff comes from so I was not surprised, but it hurt my gum.

I do that once in a blue moon - minus the 'frying' bit...

I mean just fry them with the onion and garlic to brown them off before adding tomatoes........

If i'm making a gumbo i'll use one very finely chopped but in general I think it's god knows what mashed up and formed. I doubt it's any good for you at all.

We have half a one (between 3 people) and add it to mac n cheese, garlicky fritatta and pasta with a sauce of any kind. We particularly like the spicy one!
