Torn between a samsung 10 or Nexus
I am torn between getting the samsung 10 tab or the nexus 7 I like them both but the only thing that's making me lean more towards the samsung 10 is because of the bigger screen size .. So .Some help in deciding would be great. Also I am with Virgin and they are sending me out a new super hub tomorrow, but I am not looking forward to setting it up as I am not technically minded at all

I think there’s a Nexus 10 due out next week but it’s priced at about £325.
I brought a Samsung 10.1 a couple of weeks back and love it. I settled for this one because Tesco where giving £20 worth of Brownie points plus the Samsung £50 cash back plus a bit of money back on my cash back credit card and all in all I paid about £220. A lot of hoops to jump through though. ![]() Just checked that price and today its £319 and I could have sworn it said £325 last week. May be I am wrong or may be the price of the Nexus 10 will drop again before its release. Last edited by SkipTracer : 05-11-2012 at 16:29. Reason: More info |

Nexus 10 won't be available in mainstream retail ie currys etc.
It makes the rest of Samsungs line up look crap in terms of value for money. Don't forget Samsung don't make money on the Nexus 10, so to actually sell it in mainstream retail is not in their interest. Also their will no price drop on Nexus 10 it is £319 and it will stay so for at least the next 3 months if not its entire life cycle. |

Go with Samsung 10 as Google’s Nexus 7 bears only a front-facing 1.2-megapixel shooter for video calling and The Galaxy Note 10.1 carries with it two cameras: a primary 5-megapixel offering which benefits from autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging and 1080P video capture, and a secondary 1.9-megapixel camera for video calls.

people do it i think because they have no idea how to transfer video too or from their iPad otherwise. so they record it on the pad, watch it on the pad, that is all. |

Someone told me that their wife used their tablets camera feature as a sports trainer. They film the person doing what they are doing and then play it back for them without the need for any transferring or messing about.

And most people are not really bothered by quality much – you only need to look on YouTube to see that. |

Easy the nexus 10 is out this month and will blow all the other 10 inch android tablets out of the water.
Being nexus means that you will get Android software updates as soon as they are available |

When I tried an iPad as a video recorder I found the quality a bit poor to be honest. |

I was going to get the Asus transformer infinity or the Samsung galaxy Note 10.1. However with the release of the Nexus 10, I have decided to go for the Nexus 10 (subject to me getting hold of one and having a play with it, and reviews).
The Nexus 10 (on paper) looks like an amazing tablet. It has a higher PPI than ANY tablet out there, including the ipad4. It has Samsungs new Exynos 5250 dual core processor (based on ARMs Cortex A15) with a Mali -T604 quad core GPU (also made by ARM). At the price point google are going for, its a no-brainer for me. |

Americans will never have the chance to enjoy the Nexus 10 as Apple received their 'round edges' patent this week and unfortunately this tablet has very round edges
. If I was to buy a tablet today I would choose something with Windows 8. If I had to choose between the Nexus and the Galaxy Tab, I'd probably go with the Galaxy Note 10.1

The Nexus 7 is sold pretty much anywhere, and I see absolutely no reason why the 10 wouldn't be. Google and Samsung would be daft not to sell it in as many places as they can and Google's aim is to use this unit to drive the Android tablet ecosystem (along with its little sister). To address the OP's point, I would ALWAYS go for a Nexus device over any other Android type. It guarantees you won't be beholden to the manufacturer or another party (like a mobile carrier) to get updates to the OS - they'll come straight from Google as and when they're released. |
