syco is owned by simon , acts on the xfactor are contracted to syco for three months after the final, simon cannot be seen to give two contracts for recording on the same label, something to do with fraud because people voted to have only one act get the contract,...so the only way for anyone else to release a record is for simon to release them from the xfactor contract and for them to have a completly different company release any recordings

Also the "punished" was in inverted commas if you notised, meaning that G4 fans deserve to buy their fave's cds also. What's your problem with that? The fact that they possibly got signed doesn't make them exactly losers now, does it?

If I am correct we agree on,

1 - simon owns Syco
2 - Simon does not own a label
3 - Simon works for Sony/BMG
4 - Simon said He will only sign the winner
5 - The winner must be signed to Sony/BMG as Simon works for them.
6 - The runner up will only be signed within 3 months if Simon releases the runner up from contract
7 - if he release the runner up - he will be (potentially defrauding the GBP).

somethong like that he cant release them to the same lable as steve within the 3 months, there for the sony deal is for after the three months

Well for me as a G4 fan i'm not really concerned about this Sony deal.
Just listening to the G4 songs I downloaded earlier today-superb.These boys have their deal i'm sure of that.We may just have to wait for confirmation from Louis and G4 but listening to these songs again..no way will they not get a big record deal.

Waiting 3+ months seems a long time though

3 months is nothing - if they want to make a decent album and not a pop-style rush job then they'll need at least a year. They shouldn't concern themselves with striking while the iron's hot.
