I am having two Hotmail issues -

- people occasionally get spam e-mails supposedly from me containing links ( I have had similar from other people in the past )
- each time I log into Hotmail a messenger window oipens, supposedly from a contact in my address book ( always the same contact ) with spam chat. This happens when I access Hotmail from either desktop or laptop so unlikely to be a PC virus

any ideas ? it's irritating

Have you tried to change your password for a harder one to crack?
Maybe then you will slowly reduce these emails. As it seems your account has been hijacked.

Also make sure these emails are added to your blocked senders list.
