Steve Brookstein was booed off stage at his first gig since winning The X Factor.

Revellers yelled abuse less than 24 hours after Saturday's final.

The Radio 1 and Top Of The Pops Christmas Party crowd had to be persuaded to cheer the singer, 36, back on stage - after booing him off three times.

DJ Scott Mills begged the London audience of 2,000 to give him another chance, reports The Sun.


One guest said: "They started booing again as soon as Steve started singing. Then he forgot the words.

"He apologised but was extremely shaken and looked to be holding back tears. It made him look a novice, especially alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue, who also sang."

Steve said: "I don't think I appeal to a lot of younger people. There was a lot of noise and the booing just threw me. Hopefully I'll get through it."



now i have been meaning to post about my thoughts on Steve winning the show because i just couldnt believe it.
Heres a guy who originally Simon didnt want to go through the first stages and ended up calling him back. Now someone please tell me if he "has the X-Factor" why didnt Simon think wow this is the guy! to be honest steve had no impact on me. G4 and Tabby for me left me thinking " they are fab" G4 were amazing and so talented and Tabby was too aswell as having the abilty to perform to the audience.
I think its awful hes been booed because no one deserves that and he must have felt really upset by it.
To me this guy doesnt have what it takes and how he won over the people with talent i will never know.Simon always wants to be the victor in shows like this and all the time hes come out on top. well Simon u've flopped!

steve left at first without getting through and had to come back if i remember rightly. im not being bitter about it because i said no one deserves to be booed off stage. im giving my opinion that people like G4 and tabby are much more talented in my mind.

I already alerted the mods to this muliple thread posting on one subject ages ago, from mainly G4 fan's who don't bother reading other threads on this or do read them, but think it is clever to keep opening new threads on the same thing. I know they are busy on DS, but I expected some threads to either be merged, locked or deleted by now.

I always thought it was against the rules to do multiple threads on the same subject and could maybe incur a ban if continued obviously not though.

But you said Simon didn't want to put him through and apparently he did!

Will Young got through by the skin of his teeth, does this really matter anyway? It was the opinions of 3 judges, when the general public got to vote, there was no doubt who was the winner.

Obviouly Steve is more talented, which is why he was never in bottom two week in week out and also why ****Steve was a worthy X Factor WINNER*****

look yeah i prefered g4 but im not constanly on the board supporting them etc. i just thought i was posting some news about x-factor for other fans to read and simply voicing my opinion. if u notice i aint posted alot atall so i dont know all the rules and all this about threads blah blah.

Yes , I have noticed that the diehard G4 fans on here are ok and can accept G4 not winning and that it is mostly newly signed up forum member's who are starting multiple threads, without bothering to check if there was a thread on the subject already.

oo and i can accept the fact G4 didnt win because i dont let things like this rule my life! im not 13 and gunna cry into my cornflakes about it! it was a show i watched and enjoyed and why cant u just get the understanding i was simply voicing my opinion, after all arent message boards for that. and no ones opinion is right or wrong. steve may appeal to some people and thats fine if they like him. this all been taken so the wrong way!
